While it's looking strong for PA right now, it took them a whole month just to flip this one state. They need three. Sorry to doom post, but right now they have ONE WEEK and some change, four whole days of which will be spent "lol its the weekend so sleepy". It's just not gonna happen at this point. We'll win in PA but that's our pity victory. The only hope is the Senate, and there are too many RINOs who want Trump gone so they can go back to business as usual.
Agreed, but as a few others have pointed out, as long as it can get to SCOTUS before the 8th, then there's still a very longshot slim chance of a Trump win (notice I said very slim)
If it's in SCOTUS before the 8th, the challenges can continue until the hard time limit of the 14th but I'm still not hopeful
Given the high-profile nature, I would not be surprised if that's the big goal here to get enough evidence and enough of a case by the end of next week to get it fast-tracked to SCOTUS and if they rule in favor of the President in at least one of the major states before the 14th, that can give Trump the greenlight to call in enough state legislatures for the electoral nuclear option on Decemeber 14th
I'm not going to cope and give Trump a decent chance and I'm still very much expecting a Biden win but until we know what the Supreme Court can or will do or if we get to the 14th without SCOTUS having done anything, I'm not going to totally rule this one out solely because it's 2020 and Trump has a memetically notorious streak of good luck.
If Trump and McConnell can get enough good buzz in the Georgia rallies this weekend to light a fire under the GOP's ass to make sure the runoffs in January don't get stolen, then there will be a lot more checks to Biden/Kamala's power at least until 2022
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lawsuits get filed partly as Hail Mary passes and partly to get more things bumped up to SCOTUS
