What really gets me about tropes like "Nobody Poops" and "No Periods Period" is that they only list instances where it DOESN'T happen. If a trope is so common that aversions are more notable than straight occurrences, then why not make the opposite situation into a trope?

From my horribly biased perspective, a lot of tropes list by exception when they are so omnipresent that listing when a production defies norms and acknowledges certain real-world phenomena is easier than listing straight examples, which will likely include every production ever made.

I'll go to bat for this choice, actually. It's a media convention that everyone accepts because more often than not, showing these events would either disrupt the pacing of the story or just be gross.
A character performing an action isn't a trope in itself, but it's notable as an exception to the convention since it highlights the actual trope audiences take for granted.
