I figure she's someone Akemi meets on her epic journey. Kind of the helplessly naive but who has a secret power/history anime character. Hence the wings (don't have to be actual wings, I figured they would just be "well I always grew up with these spots on my back" in her fur. Blindly trusts everyone.
