I really enjoy Bob reviews and his content and for me he is an A-Okay guy but I totally agree that he gives some very stupid takes once in a while and he is really suffering from some personal problems that he really needs to take a break from Twitter and focus more no his channel that I really think can one day be another RLM if the manages to balance better his personal life and his Youtube persona.
The problem with Bob is not that he is a liberal or that he hates Trump, the problem with Bob is that he is easily trolled into people making wrong perceptions of him or lying about him (He is not a pedo, groomer, eugenics etc) and the best prescription to counter this is to use less Twitter and don't feed the trolls.

Alright I'll bite. I hold a pretty negative view of Bob in pretty much all forms, but I seriously want to know why you still like him and his content. Are you seriously entertained by what he puts out? Does his dense verbiage not bother you? Do you find him funny? Do you think he makes good cultural critiques?
I'll put my cards on the table and say that I completely sat out the first wave of geek content that hit youtube. Jontron through sheer force of personality got me, but the channel awesome and other I'm so geeky creators held almost no appeal to me. I felt like an idiot trying to sit through their dumb characters, and cringed every time I felt like I was supposed to go "heh epic reference bro." I can understand maybe his shit and by extension a lot of people from his era are not my cup of tea.
What I cannot understand is how what he is currently putting out would at all excuse the shit ton of pure bile he has been shitting into the void of twitter. I cannot honestly understand why anyone would look at someone so genuinely unpleasant and think he is an "A-okay guy" unless you were similarly inclined to be as vindictive and brutish as he is. With all the benefit of the doubt world you could not explain away his terrible toxic streak that has become more and more vitriolic as he constantly has to reconcile why a big smart guy like him is constantly getting dunked on by everyone. Damn near everyone.

"People making wrong perceptions of him or lying about him" is a weird way to refer to Bob himself. I guess he should stop lying about himself. People perceive him in a very negative way because he presents himself in a very negative way. He has nobody to blame for his current image except himself. And no, it's not because he's "easily trolled." Robert didn't start ranting about obsolete mayonnaise ghouls who should have no place in society because people called him a eugenicist. That's the exact reverse of the cause and effect at play here. He rants unprompted and people react to his rants with disgust. Then he whines that he didn't say the things people are calling out, or claims he was joking or using hyperbole. Often he makes both claims about the exact same statement he made, like his eugenics Tweet.

Bob openly and proudly rejects the morals of society. He's not just openly hateful, but he doesn't feel bad about it and literally doesn't understand why other people aren't the same way. He defends his hatefulness and even tries to actively convert others to his way of thinking (or rather, way of feeling) on this point. He openly and proudly rejects ethics as well, being eager to use any means no matter how cruel or underhanded to serve his politics ("no bad tactics only bad targets", etc). He can't even get along with lots of people on his own side because they don't agree with him about these things. He endorses Social Darwinism when he says that he wants his enemies to suffer the effects of natural selection. He routinely dehumanizes his enemies. He prefers technocracy over democracy. He openly endorses lying to the voters to get his side's agenda passed. Most people reject all of this. Nobody wants to be around someone who's angry, full of hate, and can only be trusted as long he thinks that you are on his side.
Besides all that, he's quite arrogant for absolutely no good reason and is constantly disdainful, dismissive, and condescending to others. He's an obnoxious know-it-all who never admits that he's wrong about anything. He's very hostile to people who disagree with him about trivial stuff like thinking a video game's ending was terrible (Mass Effect 3 controversy), or thinking a movie would have been better if the original director's vision had been kept intact (the Snyder cut thing). Even if he never said a word about morals, ethics, politics, or religion, he'd still be widely disliked and for good reason.
Basically the only difference between Bob and an actual Nazi is that he was born in a different time, so he plays for a different team, and he has a different opinion on what constitutes "degenerate art".

I used to watch Bob's content. I wouldn't say I was a "fan" but putting on a video of his used to be tolerable background noise I could put up while eating dinner. I wouldn't really be invested much but I'd have some sort of half-hearted interest in him talking about some obscure weird movie or some weird comic storyline I wasn't familiar with.
This was before I knew about his vile politics or twitter. I didn't even know how he looked liked so I was just envisioning him as the faces he puts up in his "Big Picture" vids. I knew so little about Bob I didn't even know he was fat at the time. THAT is how little I knew about him. True Bob fans seem so ignorant of him that there was a post from one of them here not too long ago that indicated they legit thought that pic of him dressed as Mario was someone else and just some hoax cooked up to harass him.

Don't worry, I'm being myself and not trolling anyone here.
Yes, I find Bob's content to be not only entertaining but he also makes really good points about the movies he reviews, that series of him "Really That Good" is very nice and his usual reviews are also good.
Bob does speak fast and tries to sound a bit too sophisticated for some of the material he is reviewing like the MCU movies but when he has a less blockbluster movie he makes better reviews, about him being unfunny, I think he very rarely is fun but he is entertaining, I like also the visual aspect of his videos where he uses those American persona faces which give the review a more classy feel and so on.
His cultural critiques can be hit-and-miss but his cultural critiques of Batman Vs Superman are spot-on and even his (which is not his per say) about Marvel Cinematic Universe importance to Pop Culture, Politics and Culture in general is also very good despite being no his and more like a clipping of more thought provoking authors.
He is A-Okay in what he does, I'm not a Patreon of Bob and I thought his participation on The Escapist Movie Podcast was okayish at best, his terrible and bizarre rambling outakes is he being a very poor comunicator using Twitter, being easliy trolled and so on.
If you take at face value some stuff that Bob writes you really can say "Well, this guy is nuts and believe in Eugenics? I'm outta here" and it's 100% understandanble but if you get to watch his videos, more context, you can clearly see that Bob doesn't believe in those crazy ideas.

His takes on movies are fucking terrible. Everything he says is filtered through a alcohol soaked brain that only sees things in terms of modern day pop culture. He thinks the MCU, ok movies overall with some gems, is todays modern version of Greek myth and that the characters in Thor are so iconic they will replace not only The Mighty Thor in the comics but also the popular cultural depections of the characters. He thinks black Valkyrie will replace Wagner's Valkyries just because he likes the movies and shes black. He hypes up formulaic mediocre blockbusters because to him those are the deepest things he can understand. Even when he gets it right like Pixels being a bad movie its for the dumbest reason imaginable. Everything he says is either basic knowledge or stuff he Googled that anyone who has any interest in the series probably already knew.
Even if he were funny and informative he would still be a bad reviewer due to his condescending attitude. Every thing he says is from a position of "I'm better than you", doesn't matter if its politics or movies Bob always thinks hes right and boy does he act like it. Like the street fighting Boston man he thinks of himself as he will get into an angry Twitter fight if you call him out on anything to the point he will spend half the day getting into arguments with Trolls on Twitter. No one wants to be lectured or talked down to and its even worse if the guy doing the lecturing is an arrogant douche. In a previous post you mentioned Bob could be like RLM but he won't because hes unlikable compared to Mike Stoklassa. Mike does make judgements about certain people and he has takes on movies I disagree with, but I still think hes funny because he doesn't come across as a jerk and makes self depreciating jokes about himself and his previous works. Bob always has this level of arrogance and obnoxiousness that makes you want to punch him in the face even when he says something I agree with.
His communication skills suck like you said, but he has done nothing to improve them in the 10+ years hes been making videos and he keeps getting into petty arguments on Twitter when all logic should tell him to back off. He willing shares his insane views for the world to see, which he clearly believes in based on how defensive he gets when called out on them and the fact he openly calls for the genocide of the white working class on his PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS ACCOUNT. No sane person would share what he says on their work accounts even as a joke. He clearly has no social filter or common sense and wants his brand name to be associated with angry hatred for Republicans and his God awful eating habits.
If you are sincere about liking Bob I think you really need to reevaluate why you like him and who he is. Bit of advice, no man who has 3100 pages of content about him and his life on an Internet forum dedicated to making fun of nutjobs on the net, could be considered a normal, well-adjusted individual.

lol yes he does. But to be fair I do not believe that he believes in eugenics as the common understanding of eugenics. He just wants everyone he doesn't like eradicated because they are holding back the superior future.
