1. Taylor is secretly a very much closeted lesbian suffering from Liberace syndrome (meaning that she can't come out as gay due to her male fanbase and her longstanding habit of turning her relationship drama into hit songs)
2. Taylor wants to get into acting and she has to bend the knee and sing the anti-life equation for the Democrats to get movie roles
3. Taylor's currently at a crossroads with her career. She's left her original label, so she's either going to have to self-release her shit at great personal expense plus pay out of pocket for touring and promotion (IE music videos) or endure unfriendly contract deals with other big time labels, who now have irrefutable proof that Taylor peaked commercially with 1989 and that Reputation underperformed and Lovers was a HUGE fucking flop that effectively killed all of the momentum Taylor has been riding on, to the point Taylor rushed out a country album to try and make a quick buck, since Lovers sold so fucking badly to refill her bank account and coffers. Which means any future deals she has will come with strings attached and demands that she sing the anti-life gospel when ordered in order to get a big front end contract with guaranteed priority promotion and a promotional budget that is the size that Taylor is accustomed to.
I'm pretty sure if one was true, it'd only help her at this point.
For two, she's got to give up on that. She's past her starlet sell-by. But I guess never discount pamper white girl derangement syndrome.
For three, let me again reiterate:
Daddy Swift bought a record label to make his baby girl a music star. I have an (admittedly unverified) first hand account of Big Machine being 100% Taylor, other artists getting the shaft because Taytay wanted a song, etc. The whole label existed solely to promote Taylor. Dadsy poured an ungodly amount of time and money into boosting her career, and eventually decided enough was enough and sold out, expecting that he'd given her enough of a boost she could make it on her own.
Taylor is liking getting 200,000% wrecked because she likely had everything in the name of
Daddy the label, and never questioned it. When every other artist learns their lesson getting utterly turbo fucked by their initial three record deal, Taylor never experienced that and had a glorious awaking waiting for her. When the label sold, there goes her whole catalog, plus royalties and rights.
Rumors I heard go from simple greed, to some 4th Dimensional dredel game to just wanting some blonde-haired blue eyed shiksa under his thumb so he make her put on the jackboots and play Ilsa when he wants some holocaust themed roleplay.
