Skipping about the last ten pages because I am astoundingly sick of seeing this complete rubbish peddled about a woman's 'reproductive prime' being in her childhood, shortly after she begins menstruation.
It is not true and has been disproven over and over and over. It is one of the most consistently ill-informed and yet under-challenged assertions in this thread.
It is correct that most fertile eggs are released first. However, a woman's ability to safely carry a healthy pregnancy to term is not solely (not even near!) dependent on the egg. Girls may release more easily-fertilised eggs at 12 or so, but their reproductive tract (you know, those bits that aren't ovaries, unlike chaps and their semen, we have more complicated plumbing inside) does not mature in girls until their late teens/early twenties. They are physically not ready to safely carry and birth a child.
It is in fact hugely dangerous for young teens to bear children. Pregnancy is a worldwide leading killer of girls 15 to 19, because their bodies are not ready. (Never mind 12 years old. Fucking idiots, do you realise in countries with a low development and health index, where the girls don't get enough to fucking eat, they don't establish menstruation as early as 12?) We don't merely protect our children from sexual exploitation in the West because of our concerns about their social and psychological development, we do it because early childbearing fucking kills them.
