Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I figure Biden doesn't really have some form of dementia. He's just older, crankier, and had people blowing smoke up his ass for years due to association with black Jesus. Like many Democrats, he's not used to having an opponent fighting back, so Trump having the audacity to talk about Hunter's corrupt dealings has to bug the hell out of him.

He also probably doesn't even get why he'd need to separate himself from AOC and the green new deal since he openly views himself as the Democrat party, so all the comments about what his party is doing would feel irrelevant to him because he feels it's a given that they're all supposed to have fallen in line behind him. Which he's kinda right about, after the debate was acting like there's nothing wrong with Biden disavowing her proposal.

The guy is a raging narcissist that has his party wrapped around his finger, but doesn't have a fraction of the charisma he thinks he does.
His entire political career has been peppered with bizarre mini scandals like lying about his education, plagiarizing speeches, not to mention the creeper behavior, so there are clearly some sort of psychological issues at play. He also survived two aneurysms in the late 80s, which will do some level of permanent damage no matter how lucky you get. I've had a lot of first hand experience seeing the damage caused by strokes and aneurysms and some of his recent behavior is giving me deja vu. He's always had a reputation of being a "gaffe machine", but watching interview footage from 2016 compared to now, in terms of cognitive function, it's like watching a completely different person. I think were seeing a mix of age, psychological problems, and medical issues.

Singer Frank Ocean has Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is a shame since admittedly I cheered him on when he won his first Grammy.

Also, Tyler, The Creator did the same thing, though (sort of) less paranoid and more insightful, I guess?

He even said it’s first time voting and now he’s “seen the light”

Moshe got the whip out for all the rappas

Joe Biden is barely even a politician. he's more like a lobbyist. in the 90's Biden was only half jokingly called the man from V.I.S.A because he was such an obvious un subtle stooge for credit card companies. Even by politician standards.
Delaware exists to shield corporations from taxes and expedite lawsuits. Makes sense that their senators would follow from that.

Man, idk. When even Tyler "Haha what's cyberbullying nigga" the Creator is telling people to vote, something has broke. People grow up and shit, but this feels so disconnected from the Tyler of old.

Frank always seemed like a lefty. I felt like after channel orange he disappeared up his own ass. Maybe its because I never got into blonde proper and he never it on a large scale physically.

Any criticisms of Trump's behavior really just come down to him not being the standard "good loser" Republican we've been conditioned into thinking of as the Proper Conservative Politician. I would imagine that the process of selling us the image of what a politician should be probably started with the development of photography being easily reproduced in newspapers, and certainly ramped up with the advent of television. The idea of a very proper politician, straight-backed and always attired in a suit with a look of solemn determination on their face has been shilled to us so much that some particularly easy to manipulate people are just straight-up disturbed by a failure to adhere to it.

(Amusingly this doesn't seem to apply to female politicians, who can do whatever the fuck they want and not be held to the same standard. Sexism of low expectations strikes again. But anyway.)

Reminds me of a comment thread once where some Very Proper Republican had himself a case of the vapors over Dubya inviting Kid Rock to play at an inauguration party. He wanted brass bands playing nothing but century-old songs, and when pressed explicitly said that yes, an inauguration should absolutely be boring because that is adult. Besides that indicating how sad and boring his adult life has been, it's such a bloody consoomer point of view, because he and people like him have internalized the branded and focus group refined image of what a politician is supposed to be and what political events are supposed to be like until they can't see someone who deviates from that without clutching their pearls.

Meanwhile, you know what attracts people who are tired of being bored? Things that are different. Things that aren't the standard. Hell look at those ugly-ass Cube cars... they're unaesthetic as fuck, and yet when they came out and for years after they sold off the lots as soon as they came in. Why? Were people that desperate for a high ceiling in their trunk space? No, they were different. They didn't look like anything else on the road. They were distinct from the painfully same-y four door sedans and SUVs that the car companies were cranking out. People get sick of the standard and they want to try something different. Trump, as opposed to the pugugly Cubes, has turned out to not only be different but beneficial. If that's at the cost of the image of a Proper Politician, good, shoot the image in the head and bury it in a landfill.

Only an idiot would rather have a good loser who acts like a gentleman over an effective bastard.

So, about these Proud Boys Trump failed to denounce...

I think you guys fundamentally missed what the trap Joe wanted to lay was and he didn't get it at the start and was smiling cause he thought he caught the mouse.

Biden's group wanted Trump to DECLARE the Proud Boys as white supremacists by saying he denounced them. Instead he tells the group to stand back and stand by.
I'm not wholly into 4D chess, but here Trump jumped the trap entirely because they were going to say he didn't denounce white supremacists no matter what he said (And he said sure to denouncing them).

It's clear as day they Biden tried to lay a trap and Trump dodged it entirely because if he call the Proud Boys white supremacists, and they support Trump, they would say Trump supporters were white supremacists anyway. It's a Kafka trap. One I'm glad he entirely avoided because this just makes his base and diehard fans all the more happy.

That's all true, but the media isn't going to be happy that their "Proud Boys are 100% dyed-in-the-wool Mein Kampf-humping Nazis" narrative is being flipped around on them either way. They have been trying to hammer home that point for a few months now, and just after they failed to get it to stick to Trump on the debates, this group decides to take one for the team and just state the obvious: they're not white supremacists. That they're doing it alongside BLM is just icing on the cake.

I dont disagree with that at all, especially since Ol Biden will be like "Hey Proud boys, you all stop rioting and destroying!" or some dumb shit, mark my words.

Every single comment from a leftist I've seen about the debate is about what Trump said or did. In fact it's almost exclusively been about the "white supremacy" thing. It's almost like they know Biden fucking fell on his face, and that this prearranged and preplanned-for "gotcha" is all they have to latch onto (that and the other similarly preplanned-for and prearranged stuff like "HIZ TAKSIZ!"). Almost like they know Biden is a trainwreck but are too dug-in on Orange Man Bad to admit it. Weird.

This sounds right, but I think Biden would've been happy with either outcome. The media immediately jumped in and conflated the PB with white supremacy by muddling that whole exchange, and the pre-existing "far right extremist white supremacist misogynists" articles were already published to reinforce it.

I think Trump wasn't doing full 4D chess, but he was relying on an old safeguard he's been using since 2016 for these kinds of traps. Here's how he answered Chris Wallace on the same question 4 years ago.

Notice he always focuses on groups. He'll condemn the idea of white supremacy easily enough, and specific groups of people he recognizes. Anyone he doesn't recognize, he tries to distinguish bad guys from good guys, or say "I don't know them", or do something milder like the "stand back and stand by" line.

It's how he got in trouble for the "very fine people" hoax; he condemned the identifiable, recognizable Bad Guys, but tried to portion out the non-Bad Guys from them. Same with the David Duke thing; he disavowed Duke a dozen times, but the one interview he said "I don't know who that is", he claimed to have earpiece troubles, and didn't want to blindly condemn whatever the unheard newsperson was suggesting.

Wallace did Trump a favor by immediately pivoting from "would you condemn white supremacy" to "tell them to stand down". You saw Trump pause for a few long seconds before he said "give me a name"; he recognized the switch, and he was falling back on his standard trap-avoidance mechanisms. His goal was not to alienate his base by bowing to their enemies' narrative.

The media crucified Trump, but they were going to do it anyway. All of his supporters recognized he was trying to avoid the trap. The PB seemed thrilled to be called out like that, which tells you how successful he was in walking the line.

Generally, Trump's strategy in the debate was all about the base. He spent the whole time trying to split Biden's far-left Progressive supporters away from him. He was also playing defensively, trying not to alienate his own base. I don't think he viewed anyone watching as being persuadable to change over to him, so he knows there was nobody to pickup. (Recent polling shows as high as 97% already decided who to vote for.)

In that context, his avoidance on this question was brilliant. He needs to keep his base energetic, and stabbing some of his strongest supporters in the back would have deflated the enthusiasm of everyone around them. You don't get independently organized boat parades from people who think their guy will throw them under the bus the first time the media presses him.

It's a smart move for BLM too, I have to admit. With Biden being lured into denouncing the rioting and supporting the police, if BLM is going to continue to be effective as a DNC fundraiser they have to work on their image as well. They're hoping to play into the narrative of spinning the rioters as white supremacists by saying "What? No no no, that can't have been us. Look how reasonable we are. We like white people. We even made peace with the Proud Boys, see? That's how reasonable and diplomatic we are."

They're scrambling to get the moderates back and it shows. Whether it will work or just alienate the radicals, only time will tell.

Did they happen to define what they mean by 'white supremacy'? Because the long-running definition of that translates almost precisely to 'white people'. Denouncing 'white supremacy' seems to be declaring allegiance to not cockblock efforts to [further] disenfranchise whites.

That settles that though, no more bashing Proud Boys over something they're not!
“Black Lives Matter Utah would like nothing to do with the Proud Boys,” she told FOX13. “We believe they are a violent, White supremacist militia and we would prefer if they would leave us alone.”
Oh no, who could have seen this coming. It turns out that all along it was not even about their racial composition or stances on race, it was about their actions and opposition of Antifa et al. Too bad! Good thing you cucked out and shit on white people, I'm sure that'll do wonders for your recruitment numbers and member morale.

How can people not know by now that you *never* apologize. Never apologize! You will not be forgiven. Best you can hope for is a head pat while they ram the knife in further.

They may be done with 'white supremacy', but 'white supremacy' isn't done with them:

These people don't even exist outside of {current media narratives and facebook memes}. They truly are NPCs.

Última edición:
When you're at the point of declaring a group with a lot of non-white membership "white supremacist", you're in looneyville.

But they know this - it's propping up a narrative that they think hurts Trump. That's what matters.

Why do I never hear calls to denounce black supremacy? I still hear people talking about Bowers and the Tree of Life shooting that happened two years ago. I haven't heard anyone bring up the kosher supermarket shooting by the Black Hebrew Israelites that happened last year.

If you're white and still don't recognize what's going on, you are willfully ignorant of the situation.
