Biden was beginning to trail off on weird tangents near the end of the debate, and sadly, with Trump's interruptions, a large amount of the American people didn't see one of those nonsensical tangents happen in real time.

There's something about the Presidential Debates and appearance. Back when Kennedy and Nixon had their debates, Nixon lost a substantial amount of support because of how disheveled he looked. It very much turned off a large amount of the voters to see Nixon that way. Imagine if the American people had seen Biden lose his mind on stage and say something weird: Would have been bad for Joe.

Exactly. He went for the big hits and it meant his form was sloppy, but when they connected they were whoppers. Totally agree here. I could tell several times when Biden was slipping, I'm absolutely shocked Trump didn't stay silent at some points, wait for a "senior moment" to come up and then hit Biden with a huge "SLEEPY JOE IS SLEEPY!" type of taunt. Would have gone viral I guarantee. Trump got way too ahead of himself multiple times. If he had had more patience, he could have nailed Biden at much strategically better points, rather than the excessive talking over him.

It seemed like trump had a hard time staying on the message. Biden obviously rehearsed a whole script and shit the bed every time he had to ad-lib. But Trump came off like he didn't memorize a script at all to go back to, and he really let Wallace goad him into saying crap that Wallace wanted him to talk about.
