I watched Biden pretty closely on the C-SPAN stream and saw nothing in his ears.

Yeah I was trying to catch a glimpse, so it's a bit tinfoily. If he was wearing one it certainly wasn't like in the picture I posted, but there were a lot of angles where it would be hard to see if there was a smaller piece.

Oh on the Vox Day thread, he's apparently embraced the idea that Biden has had a subdural implant feeding things to him through bone vibrations.
(Maybe that stuff is real now, I just have trouble believe Biden could survive the surgery or have that going off without him reacting.)

The democrats just can't get it into their skulls that they're embracing a dogma that repulses Latino voters. They come from communities and cultures that are deeply religious, put great importance in family, and have often been brutalized by communists.
They're not going to vote for a party that's embracing the antithesis of their values, and they're certainly not going to vote for a party that's cheering for an organization run by black racists, because they are aware of the fact that these black racists hate Hispanics just as much as they hate whites!

I think Biden is either a bit better than most people expected, or they pumped him so full of drugs to keep him awake and sort of coherent through the debate that he could send a vampire into OD.

Maybe if C-SPAN broadcast it in 4K then we would have seen it. Though I am surprised they on 1080p now whereas Fox and CNN are still in the 720p era.

Think it's a lot more likely Biden heavily rehearsed some lines since some of his answers didn't feel like they even corresponded to the questions. He's also trying his damnedest to not interact with Trump, but getting tempted into it anyway, resulting in his trying to get himself back into his practiced lines and posture such as staring mindlessly into the camera.

I saw no signs he was using an ear piece, just canned rhetoric he must have been practicing for weeks to get just right after being fed the questions. Its why he kept switching between two separate 'modes'. You had prim, proper, professional Biden simply parroting lines he practiced enough times to get mostly right and fill in the bad spots with decades of political experience. Then you had the ACTUAL Biden, spitting out talking points, blank stares, and the faint smell of death any time he was forced off those memorized talking points and forced to respond in turn.
Honestly, Trump was quite smart to go after Hunter so early on. Threw Biden off his talking points pretty damn early.

Well people tend to forget that the latino population still carry many of their traditional values that they carried from their home countries anyway.

Biden clearly had "old man yells at cloud" rage that he kept trying to bottle in. He's done a really poor job at bottling it in for the past year or so at this point, though ... So his behavior last night came at no surprise to me. Trump came into that debate like a bull in a china shop (which people flat-out expected from him at this rate, haha), and he did that to bait Biden into losing his composure ... And in many instances, it totally worked. Biden is now on record disgracing the office on the national stage, despite all DNC efforts to give him an entire week to rehearse his lines.
That said, I do think that Trump dialed it up to an 11 last night because he lost his composure with Chris Wallace. Once again, though, nobody is surprised with Trump being that way. This is why I still maintain that there are no winners, but Biden is definitely the loser of last night ... Or else the Democrats wouldn't even be suggesting the cancellation of the other debates.
There's quite a lot of people who have pointed out Biden's poor conduct last night. People know what they're getting with Trump, but it's clear to see that Biden's "I'm the POLITE and DECENT guy" act is wearing very thin at this point. Lots of people today saying that Biden can no longer claim a moral high ground on presidential decorum, which is why his campaign has not addressed Trump's behavior in the debate last night and why they are focusing on the bogus "white supremacy" narrative instead.
People have really short damn memories, though. Biden had demonstrative behavior in his 2012 debate with Paul Ryan; interrupted him the entire time and acted like a total jackass. The Democrats and the media loved that behavior back then.
Also a fun fact about that 2012 VP debate: I re-watched it recently. 2020 Joe Biden is practically an entirely different person from 2012 Biden. And the DNC and media are convinced that Biden has not suffered from any mental and/or physical decline? Gimme a break! Biden looked gaunt, pale, and frail last night. Bernie Sanders, a man even older than Biden, suffered a significant heart attack THIS YEAR, and looks far more lively and "with it" than Biden does. I hate Bernie, but damn, he bounced back from that heart attack fast.
If Biden had won the debate last night, the TDS would not be so strong today. TDS sufferers are currently acting like Trump has already won re-election or as if a nuclear bomb was dropped on them last night. There's no smugness or confidence in Biden as a candidate at all at this point. This whole election is going to be determined by just how much Americans hate Trump ... Which is a sad state of affairs, really.

I've been thinking about it for awhile but I think Biden's handlers kept telling him to memorize rhetoric from twitter and he studied it like a student rushing to study for their final because he brought up some of the points at the wrong times and came across as quite slippery in terms of how he can control himself.

Him bringing it up at the wrong times is a sign not of rushed preparedness but OVER preparedness. It matches with them being fed the questions, he knew that X Y and Z questions were supposed to come up, had his canned talking points, but Trump kept interrupting and making him lose track of where in the script he was supposed to be.

While I agree that it was partly Trump's strategy to throw Biden off, I still maintain that he interrupted way too much. Trump being a fighter is his biggest strength and also his biggest weakness in many retrospects.
In the final 30 minutes of the debate, Biden's energy was fading fast. Trump should have let Biden hang himself with his own rope. Biden was beginning to trail off on weird tangents near the end of the debate, and sadly, with Trump's interruptions, a large amount of the American people didn't see one of those nonsensical tangents happen in real time.
There's something about the Presidential Debates and appearance. Back when Kennedy and Nixon had their debates, Nixon lost a substantial amount of support because of how disheveled he looked. It very much turned off a large amount of the voters to see Nixon that way. Imagine if the American people had seen Biden lose his mind on stage and say something weird: Would have been bad for Joe.
Biden looked weak last night, and people noticed ... But I think his campaign would have come to a dead end if Trump just let him ramble nonsensically at many points in the debate.
