While I do agree that Dobson desperately needs to take quite a number of lessons, I do think he took Ross' "We don't make mistakes; we just have happy accidents" line to heart.

He doesn't love drawing and creating art. He loves pretending to be a hard-working, accomplished artist while half-assing and cutting corners whereever he can.

And you could always just draw your fan art for fun and try to find success doing something you're good at.
