To think reasonable about this:

Implementing this for every user would be catastrophic, so it would be best to restrict it to staff.
But even then, what's the point of it? Why would you need to send a notification to every person that has interacted with the thread?
It would make the most sense in the chat, but even then, would it be very useful for the staff?

This isn't a feature meant for forums, period.
 
I think the conversation is pretty dead at this point. Just want to add my last big brain take.

The farms should always be an elective process for consuming data, The second we start pushing notifications to people, the false narrative that we are a harassment squad would become more valid since now the farms are not just hosting say someone’s dox but now has the power to notify all the users of those dox or other calls to action.

I think of the farm as a library, not a classroom with professors is calling us to class and telling us what to think.
 
Did anyone ever regret the "at everyone" message available for purchase on korean shit like Maplestory or that $99 wedding ring in Team Fortress 2? Seems like a good way to generate revenue, sending global bullshit for $
