YES, Kev and other troon, this is TOTALLY real vaginismus! Normal women also have random rings of muscle or flesh (?) blocking their vaginas or whatever that require surgery. Vaginismus is usually muscle cramps, I kinda doubt troons have any of those muscles in their crotch wounds. Funnily enough one treatment of actual vaginismus is dilatation (I suppose it should help getting the muscles used to penetration and so on), but it obviously does not work the same for amhole.

What I don't get is that Kevin is *emailing* his surgeon for an answer. How is his surgeon going to know anything without actually having a look at the amhole? Like, this might be the era of corona-chan but for surgical complications and wounds that need to heal in a certain way, you should still be scheduling a physical, in-person consult with your surgeon or another specialist.

Of course, as we all know, this is the same thing the surgeon, Dr Jennifer Hyer, has been doing all along, since before this thread even began. Dodging her client, putting off his appointments despite clear complications, etc.

Kevin might be the kind of person who deserves a festering armhole created by a butcher who gives no craps, but Dr Hyer does not deserve to get away with treating any client, even one as repulsive and creepy as Kevin, in this manner. Imagine how many decent people she is probably doing this to as well. (Yes, decent trans people, even decent AGPs exist, and Hyer does about 15% of the SRS surgeries in the US.) It is a horrifying thought.

She has a duty of care to Kevin and considering how varied the results of this kind of surgery can be (from passable to horror cave), and the amount of complications that we know can happen, surely she should be checking in with Kevin post-surgery every couple of weeks for the first few months, then every couple of months after that. In person!

Instead we have seen her dodge Kevin's emails and tell him to give it 6 months or 6 weeks or whatever it was. She hasn't even told him to go check in with his GP if he is worried about anything, neither has she referred him to a specialist. You would expect both of those things if she just didn't want to deal with him. Instead, oh, okay, give it time. Surely wounds like dehiscences need to be treated ASAP!? When you are creating a wound in someone and you want it to heal a certain way, surely the healing processes need to be monitored closely? She just does not care at all about making sure her clients get proper post-surgery treatment and supervision.

I would be very surprised if Hyer doesn't get sued for malpractice and/or neglect one day.

(Kevin might lose or only partially win his case because we have documented a fair amount of indications that he has done a lot of things to fuck up the healing process, such as wear soiled diapers for hours at a time and (i think) fail to dilate deeply or regularly--but someone who *has* taken care of their neovagina more carefully could well win their case.)

A solid argument the trans community could make for their oppression or exploitation, if they weren't so busy pushing little kids and teenagers to make irreversible life decisions, is that the surgeons and doctors don't do enough to take care of their patients post-surgery and continue to promote an experimental surgery with such a high failure and complications rate.

I am starting to wonder if the doctors who do this deserve a thread of their own. Rate me mad on the internet, it would be completely accurate. I *am* mad. No person in a vulnerable position (whether you believe it is because they are trans or because they have some serious head problems or both) should be exposed to predatory practices like this.

Even with informed consent, that just means the surgeon isn't responsible for the outcome of the surgery itself. Let's ignore that bit for now. If you are someone's doctor and you fail to give a patient appropriate medical advice, or any advice at all when the patient has been asking for a prolonged period of time, and you fail to redirect them to someone who can answer their questions, where any reasonable person would be concerned about their condition, I don't think it would matter how many waivers you sign. That is a breach of duty of care. Some waivers or conditions are flat-out unenforceable and are just done to con people into thinking you can't do something they don't want you to do.

Admittedly I am not American and don't have an understanding of American law, but I know there are certain ethical responsibilities doctors have to abide by or they can't hold a license to practice. This seems like it would be one of them.

If by due dilligence you mean Kevin should have taken better care of his amhole and gone to another doctor of his own accord long before now, I agree. But that doesn't change the fact that his chosen doctor has still neglected to even look at his wound, advise him that he can seek a general practitioner's opinion, or medical attention from someone else. Instead she has just avoided him.

Do you have a copy of your deleted post? I could see if I could help rewrite it or add information. I don't feel the main point of a thread like that would be that they are troons, more that they are conducting experimental surgery on human beings then dodging responsibility. The "trannies making more trannies" definitely adds lols but is kind of a side element.

In my experience (with normal, necessary surgeries) the surgeon usually gives their cell number that you can call anytime with questions or in case of emergency. Surgery is a major thing and I suppose those surgeons want to assure people that they just don't cut into you and walk away, and will be there if issues arise from a major operation. I wouldn't be surprised if this troon doc just gives out an email instead, to avoid calls from insane troons screaming about their am hole problems.

This person's experience with Hyer, in comparison with Kevin's, are like night and day. Hyer was super involved with them, they met most of the staff at the clinic, they talk about making post-op appointments... to my knowledge, Kevin has not tweeted about one single post-op appointment.

Now, I do have a vague memory of him being driven somewhere in a car quite early on in this thread, and he had to use a donut cushion... it might have been a post-op appt? But it could have been something else. Either way, Kevin should have been scheduling an appointment to go see her. Maybe he or Penny were reluctant to pay for many extra post-op appointments and eventually after the hemming and hawing, the doctor just said something like "look if you decide you don't want to come in now, come back in six months".

And @BSCollateral is right, we *are* relying on Kevin's recounting of the facts...

Something still strikes me as fishy about the whole situation, though. That doctor must feel confident about her un-sue-ability if she's not even telling Kev to see a regular doctor.

They feel confident that they won't be sued because they understand the troon community. Any complaints about the outcome is dangerously close to admitting they fucked up and troons will scream bloody murder to drown out anyone who dares to say that getting SRS isn't this magical, life affirming miracle that fixes all your problems and makes you sexually desired by all. So, if you are an SRS surgeon, you can butcher as many people as you want and even your victims will bend over backwards to try to excuse any negative outcomes. Scar tissue closing off the AmHole? No -- that's just vaginismus like a totally real, normal cis vagina!

Of course, if troons actually sued, SRS would be very hard to get because the odds of a bad outcome are pretty high and surgeons and insurance companies wouldn't be willing to take on that kind of risk. Very few are now anyway, but these butchers are taking advantage of this window of opportunity where the community is providing them immunity via peer pressure. It's a lucrative scam for now and they'll keep running it as long as the troon community keeps enforcing the hive mind.
