They're currently offering 8 full weeks of free rent upon move in - people are leaving California cities in droves and rents are falling fast. We know that Ryann lives like the grasshopper in the summer, and won't use the two months' time to save up for when she WILL have to pay.
They're pretty much all one bedroom apartments. While she used to share a one bedroom with Rylee - him in the bedroom and her in the living room - I doubt that courtesy extends to a teenager. She's probably living off and on with Bowie, whenever she can't pawn him off for a few days onto someone.
