I meant that in the context that I think his work has kinda been mellowed out and watered down for the mainstream audience in the past couple of years and felt tamer to me so for him to come out and do that a few days ago was an indication that he still had it in him. Even some people kept saying that he had gone SJW or some shit or that a lot of his newer fans are like that now unfortunately.

I know of and have heard about Stanhope and wanted to listen to more of his stuff though.
 
Nobody needs to actively look for shit to "report" on Dobson, if all his whining is constantly on public display.
 
He has to make everything a public spectacle. A normal person would have just blocked the troll or completely ignored it, because who cares if they know what game you're playing (hint: it's Splatoon). Not Dobson, got to tweet and just like anime Wii friends are dead to him 4eva!

Using rape/sexual assault simply to create conflict or establish character depth (which is what I believe the original Tweet was referring to) is in poor taste and the clear mark of an incompetent writer. Dobby, however, has drawn quite a bit of rape porn, so it's yet another Tweet in which he flaunts his hypocrisy.

They did the same thing with Battlestar Galactica. It was perfectly fine for Starbuck to torture Leoben within an inch of his life and then throw him out the airlock, but people shit their pants and quit watching when Sharon got raped in Season 2.

This is something that has always puzzled me. I understand why it's in bad taste to use rape for plot or character development, but there are plenty of films and books where the death of a parent is used for the same ends and yet nobody bats an eye. If the idea is "nobody gets over" rape isn't it also true that "nobody gets over" losing a parent? Same goes for characters who lose their children or spouses.
 
If all of this is so triggering, why don't they petition NBC to cancel Law & Order: SVU? It's all rape and murder of women all the time and it's been on at least 7 seasons too long in the first place.

Everyone who doesn't die first has a parent die. Only a particularly untimely death is a plot device. Rape just stands out as particularly uncreative when it's the one thing used to create a dark past for a character and no more effort is put into it than that. I can't actually think of a single example where rape as a backstory was particularly useful.

That in itself is a good enough reason to avoid the trope, but I have trouble buying that fictional rape is somehow worse than fictional murder. If anything doesn't putting rape on a pedestal as "the worst thing that can ever happen to a woman" just make it more difficult for survivors?

Does Dobson feel he is above using reference images when drawing or what? I genuinely don't understand. Iron Man and Beast's heads, how did he even manage to fuck them up that bad.

Because he's incredibly lazy. Those are his patreon drawings. That is the level you can expect when you pay him money. As you can imagine, Disney and Cartoon Network are in a bidding war to hire him.

I really have to question if many of these people watch the show and they aren't just joining the SJW bandwagon since the rapist is pretty much one dimensionally evil and his main hobby is literally raping and killing women so it's hardly out of character.

They don't watch the show. They just read an out of context synopsis on a clickbait site like Jezebel.
