COVID Conspiracy Theorists and other idiots - This is not a political thunderdome or gay slapfight thread.

And no one on the left is telling people not to wear masks.
Well, not anymore....

I like the whole 'the left want people to die!!' Girl, ain't no one on the left telling you to go lick toilet seats at Trump rallies.
The lighting buildings on fire with people in them and assault on unconscious people does suggest they want death. That and literally calling for people's deaths.

Putting corona positive people in nursing homes in contradiction to federal guidelines also really looks like "wanting people to die"

That, plus the cheerleading of Trump's brothers death, and using coronavirus death numbers as a campaign issue make me think, yeah, they want people to die.

Can someone explain why these kind of people are completly obsessed with human trafficking? I understand is a horrible crime, but it mostly affects inmigrants, drug addicts, prostitutes and very poor people (and their children).
50 years old Karen is likely to never encounter a trafficking victim in her entire life, yet she is convinced she and her children could be taken by traffickers in a walmart at daylight Why aren't there conspiracies or worry/ fear mongering about crimes ost likely to affect them, for example violent robbery and ransom kidnapping?

To be fair, these are the same idiots who won't vaccinate, so they are pretty committed to killing their children.

Remember that South Park episode where the parents freaked out at the idea that their friends and family might be closet pedophiles and banished their kids so they don't end up molested and the kids turned Mongolian and destroyed the City Wall?

So Covid 19 causes people to rape children? I don't even understand wtf this person is trying to say here.

So I guess it's time for me to give my thoughts on this dumbass conspiracy theory then.

1. The Coronavirus Pandemic and also the virus itself are not a hoax. It is real and anyone that thinks it's a hoax is clearly a total moron with an IQ score that is around 80 anyway.

2. The face masks that are being recommended by health experts are not symbols of oppression. The purpose of face masks is to reduce the spread of the virus, especially if you are infected with the virus and don't know it yet then.

3. Well sorry Karens but I'm not going to try essential oils to cure myself of any diseases. Essential oils are a bullshit scam by the way.

4. The Boomers are really stupid for dancing with death. If they die by their own stupidity then be my guest in getting a 'Darwin Award' then.

5. So when the second wave inevitably hits, I just hope that it thins out the population of stupid people in the world anyway.

6. Well sorry QAnon but I'm not going to drink bleach to cure myself of any diseases. You have to be a total moron to do this by the way.

7. The face masks don't deprive you from any oxygen. Gas molecules are far smaller than any virus out there. Unless you are very severely dehydrated or if you suffer from a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a face mask, wear a face mask then.

8. The anti-vaxxers are morons. There's nothing much to say about them regarding how much they really want a 'Darwin Award' at this point.

9. It's clear to me that Boomers can easily be tricked by obvious bullshit they read online then.

10. The people that believe in these conspiracy theories should be ridiculed and laughed at.

So what's the lesson to be learned here? Don't believe everything you read online because usually half the stuff you read online is bullshit anyway.

She has higher odds of encountering human trafficking than a black man has of getting killed by a cop. Or encountering a real non hoax lynching...

Yeah people worry about silly shit that will probably never happen. Like healthy children or adults worrying about serious problems from corona.

I will never understand. What is the gain for the whole world deciding to fake a pandemic? What is the purpose?

Also, if you believe it's real and abide the rules, and it's actually fake, the worst that will happen to you is you've gotta wear a mask and deal with shit being shut down for a while. If you believe it's a scam, and it's real, worst case scenario, you die. I know enough people who have had it, died of it, AND my brother worked in a COVID hospital in the heat of it to know it's real but like...why not agree to just wear the mask in case (and so we can finally get out of this shit like the rest of the world).

But then, that would rob us of schadenfreude of shit like this:

DALLAS (KXAN) — A Dallas man who hosted family members in June, under the thought COVID-19 was a hoax, now regrets that after one member died and 13 others tested positive for the virus, with one on life support.
According the a report by NBC, Tony Green invited his partner’s parents over to his house for a party June 13. Green admitted no one wore masks, as he thought “the mainstream media and the Democrats were using it [COVID-19} to create panic, crash the economy and destroy Trump’s chances at re-election.”
The next day, Green felt sick. Two days later, his partner of nine years and parents felt sick. However, his partner’s parents, whom Green considers his in-laws even though he and his partner aren’t married, still went to Austin for the birth of their first grandchild, the report says.
Two other family members went to Austin with the in-laws. Both got sick. The parents of the newborn also got sick. The newborn didn’t, Green said.
Everyone tested positive for coronavirus, Green said. He and his father-in-law, Rafael Ceja, were admitted to a hospital June 24, and then Ceja’s mother was admitted to the same hospital later on. She was one of the family members who traveled from Dallas to Austin with Green’s in-laws.
The mother died of COVID-19 complications on July 2, Green said. She was in the room next to her son, and her son didn’t even know she was there. Ceja learned later that day she died, Green said. Only 10 family members could attend her funeral two days later, Green said.
Ceja is still on life support as of July 27, according to a GoFundMe page that Green set up.
Two of Ceja’s sisters, one of his nephews and a brother-in-law had all contracted the virus bringing the total number of infected family members to 14, Green said.
Twelve family members have either recovered or are in various stages of recovery, Green said.
“I cannot help but feel responsible for convincing our families it was safe to have a get-together,” Green told NBC News in a phone interview. “There’s a lot of things that I would have done differently.”

You're probably wondering, how did I get here in the hospital? Well, I decided to play ookie mouth with someone who was diagnosed with CV19...

Put a true message on your mask, scorning timid, self-censoring Laodiceans
Good God this reminds me of how some of the Covid deniers (I've seen) had a massive hateboner for what they called the Lukewarm Church (Laodiceans ). Example: "Oh look, a church listened to the gubmint. How dare they not listen to God. Filthy Lukewarmers." Or "A Church is social distancing, how dare they. Performing Lucfariean rituals in a so called church? SMHx20. Have fun with getting the Mark of Teh Bheash and God spitting your filthy casual ass out straight to hell, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Well, I mean, GOD will protect them. Except when he doesn't:

A single person attending church with COVID-19 led to an outbreak of nearly 100 cases, showing the risk of group gatherings during the pandemic, Ohio officials say.

The 56-year-old man attended a church service on June 14 while infected with coronavirus, Gov. Mike DeWine says. By the Fourth of July, at least 91 people ranging in age from a 1-year-old girl to a 67-year-old woman had the virus.

“It spread like wildfire,” DeWine said.

DeWine tweeted that churches and religious faith “are at the core of our great state and country” but warned of following safety guidelines to prevent spread of COVID-19.

“It is vital that to control the spread of the virus that any time people gather together, including for religious services, that everyone wear masks, practice social distancing, wash hands, and also while indoors, making sure there is good ventilation and airflow,” DeWine said.

On Thursday, DeWine’s office announced he tested positive for COVID-19 just before a scheduled meeting with President Donald Trump before later testing negative, McClatchy News reported.

A graphic by the Ohio Department of Health shows how the coronavirus spread after the church service.

The governor shared other examples of how the virus spreads in group gatherings.

• A son staying with his dying father was infected while family visited to pay their final respects, leading to the infections of five relatives, including a great-nephew. A party at the great-nephew’s house led to two more cases, including a child.

• At a wedding, the groom’s brother was symptomatic but still attended. Fifteen people got sick, including the bride, groom and grandfather.

• A bridal shower led to six cases in six households.

“None of us want to stay away from our families and of course, it’s natural to want to show affection when you see them. But this virus (is) lurking,” DeWine tweeted. “Please try to remember that you are showing love by protecting them.”

It's almost like there is a real disease out there killing people.

I'm surprised this thread is still active and my mediocre argument is still pissing people off. For a disease with only double the mortality rate of influenza (realistically about the same because of the monetary incentive to mark every possible death as caused by COVID), people still aren't shutting the fuck up about it. It's gonna be gone by January if Biden wins and mid-2021 if Trump wins

That's the same logic as global warming. The answers pretty much the same too. Wasting a bunch of time, money, and effort on a fake problem means that time, money, and effort isn't spent on a real one. Or, put another way, if we collapse the economy to prevent 1 million deaths from "global warming", instead 10 million people will die of all the problems that could me for m that.

Tldr: "Just do whatever I say just in case I'm right" is stupid.

I want to know the source for where the conservative re.tards got this one from.

Literally their asses. There is zero incentive to shut down the world over a fake pandemic, and anyone who believes it is a moron. But honestly, I encourage them to keep going out. Retard conservatives are dropping like flies to COVID.

wash your hands if you get a flyer like that. it's probably covered in phlegm.

edited to add; they don't pay us enough to risk licensing, to incorrectly record cause of death. The hospital getting paid a little more means nothing to those of us who write those records. We don't give a shit if admin would get an extra hundred or even thousand dollars, we're not administration. Those fuckers aren't who fills out that form.
