That's how I see it. I don't give a fuck what other people want to watch in their spare time as long as they aren't going around with this holier-than-thou attitude because they like to watch this or that or they're doing it for the wrong reasons like trying to use the show to act like annoying SJWs and looking way too much into what they watch.
Tl;dr: Act like a normal human being, watch whatever you want, and don't force it onto other people.
Sorry to go off-subject with this - but I think it absolutely bears repeating, at least IMHO...
What you may have just successfully pointed out here (and not just before someone else did as well...) - is why I'm not a fan of most popular cartoons like I am less popular ones, in comparison - despite the popularity of what we are discussing here.
I already made a rant about this in the thread
Unpopular Opinions About TV, and I royally stand by all of those opinions I stated there, despite coming off like a completely stupid-ass sperg. That, and I love how stupid people like those described here think just because it's popular, it's infallible and allowed to get away with doing stupid shit that should, in anything it occurs in, turn people off when it's bad enough and deserves nothing else - kinda like what most of Fox's shit deserves, IMHO.
Too bad when these more popular shows do stupid shit, it's even more painful to watch than the less popular show doing it at the time, in comparison - yet because these shows are "So damn precious" to these shitty-ass fan-bases, they can get "away with it", which is absolute BS!
TL;DR - I can only hope this reboot turns out good on its own merits and not just because some exceptional individual on social media said "watch it or else you're not cool", or something similarly dumb like that. That's part of the reason I hate most fanbases in general, despite how good a show might be to them, when it just... really isn't.
