Why Video Games Need More LGBTQ Representation

Every time a developer hamfists their LGBTQRSPT+++ bs into vidya somewhere in the world a child dies (inside). That's not to say a character being gay is inherently a bad thing but if all they amount to is forced "diversity" then they're nothing more than shallow fanservice tacked on so that consumers can feel good about consooming whatever new AAA game that comes out. Not that most western game devs have put out anything worth playing but at this point. When even the Poles create better vidya than your multi-million dollar giants, you know you've lost.
 
They bring up gays in video games and never mention Fallout: New Vegas? Probably one of the only games that doesn’t bring attention to characters’ sexuality and also impacts gameplay if you choose a perk to make your character gay.

You know about the sparkles? On the cover of Super Mario Galaxy there are sparkles on some of the letters. Read them in order and it spells out "U R Mr. Gay". The sparkles on the cover of Super Mario Galaxy 2 read backwards spell out "Ya I am R U?"

Or Skyrim, which literally allows your character to be in a same-sex "marriage". Then again, knowing what has become acceptable in the few years since Obergefell v. Hodges, SJWs probably disdain the idea of stable relationships as a part the Patriarchy. Bug-chasing with troons at the club glory hole is more important.
 
Problem with adding LGTBQ+ to games is if that's their only defining trait it's gonna make a shit game. You build the game around the character, not their preferred sexual orientation.
 
You notice how they don't even mention journalistic corruption when they bring up gamergate anymore? They don't claim it was a campaign for journalistic ethics that was taken over by misogynistic trolls or even that it was a harassment campaign masquerading as a campaign for journalistic ethics. No, the current narrative is that gamers suddenly decided in 2014 to kick out all women and minorities for no reason whatsoever despite not giving a shit for the previous 30 years.

Let's not pretend that these cretins have any legitimate complaints.

They are pushing "muh LGBTBBQ" because they are trying to spin a narrative of "GAMER MAN BAD" and find lucrative positions within the industry where they can spread their parasitic tendrils into the coffers of publishers. Or some of them that truly have lost their minds and drunk the woke kool-aid. Actually, the vast majority have drunk the kool-aid, the useful idiots if you will, so a select few can get rich with the above plan.

Everyone sensible already knows you need good characters, but this isnt about characters, its about sending a message.
 
The neat thing about fagetry, aside from allah inventing aids to solve it, is that everything "LGBTQQIAAP2S" and so on is always about the danged trannies now. Every issue is about how they can push more trannies into everything. I hate fagets, but you have to feel bad that they did the work and now the only ones anyone considers is trannies. This article goes straight to trannies to deal with not enough fagets. (and in doing so breaks the concept of "trannies are women" because then the focus would be women, not homos).

The problem is that it is irrelevant more than 99999 times out of 100000. Unless your game is called "Get AIDS and die", you have no reason to know if the character is a faget or not. Playing GAaD as a straight male is nearly impossible to win.

Game characters rarely engage in sex or anything like that. The world is mostly free of that stuff. It is the same with kid's media. Bert and Ernie are not fagets because they are not sexual.
 
Eh, I don't see it as any real issue. Economics will handle it well enough, if your main selling point is that you get to play a queer trans black disabled kin spirited wanker, then yeah, in comparison to other games, you're going to fall in terms of the sales department. But at the same time, everyone who doesn't care will need to see X people screaming because they dinnae like it, and Y people screaming because they love the idea so god damn much. Outside of that retarded bubble of hyper autist, it doesn't really affect anyone else.

Same with movies. Woke movies have been obliterated at the box office for a decade yet they STILL KEEP COMING.

The industry is pozzed and needs a stern glassing.
 
They really need to fuck off with these attempts at forced diversity, I don't care if the lead is male/female/LGBTQ etc. I mean the entire point is entertainment and that should remain the focus. If it has no bearing on the gameplay, then it's an aside of minor importance for the most part. Should that happen to be the case I have no major issue with it, but don't shoehorn it in there for brownie points.
