A lot of those protestors are gonna vote, and I can't imagine many of them voting for Trump. They're Ridin' With Biden, and everybody knows it. This is the implicit threat, isn't it? Vote Biden to restore order. If you don't do as we say, we'll make sure shit burns.
Now Minneapolis has a monstrous deficit and a huge cleanup bill. It'd take years to restore corporate trust and rebuild, but they don't have the funds alone to do any of that.

The only word I can use to describe this is Idolatry. We were all upset about Floyd's death and wanted the cops arrested. The country was nigh-unanimous on that.

Ultimately Weimar Germany - the Germany that was inherited by the NSDAP - was unfortunately eerily similar to the United States in many sociological ways as we see it now; progressiveness ran amuck, cities like Berlin had essentially become the gay & prostitution capital of Europe and universities had become, much like they are today, learning centers for Marxist professors and social theories the nazis found toxic to development (this is the suppression of dissent, no avoiding that.) but there were a number of people in academia that preached Marxism to their students all throughout the Interwar period following the German Revolution of 1918-1919, and the NSDAP reacted with a hard 'swing' into academia and attempted to mesh German academia into a state program in order to ensure that Universities didn't continuously spawn angry left-wing intellectuals as they do today; when one considers some of the other professors that were expelled (primarily for being Jewish), one could consider it a shame on the grounds that some of those professors were highly intelligent men of their subject but..they can simply be replaced by highly intelligent men that aren't Jewish, and often were.

Attempts to suppress dissent in the environment of a politically-'radical' Germany (the Germany the NSDAP took control of was a politically-radicalized Hellhole of factionalism, disprportionate levels of poverty and crime, and featured a strong Communist wing that was heavily determined to overwrite the things that'd had been the pillars of German culture for generations: militancy, nationalism, and intended to hijack the industrious nature of German society for Communist production. Ernst Thålmann was some sort of Stalinist weirdo who wanted to essentially make Germany a "Soviet" state and model it entirely after Stalin) often lead to overreach due to a sheer overestimation of how bad the opposition in a certain sector of German society was - initially projects designed to sponsor agrarian parts of society contained loaded political rhetoric in all of their pamphlets and forms in order to leave farmers with reading resources on fascist politics and incite the large number of left-wingers that laid in rural German society up until about 1936-1939. Wow. Just started the Barr testimony.

That opening statement from Oompa-Loompa sure sounds like malicious prosecution to me. This isn't a testimony into Barr's conduct, it's supposed to be testimony to justify the DOJ "flooding cities with federal agents against their will". Last time I checked, DHS, NOT DOJ, was in charge of Operation Diligent Valor.
