At what point though does the doctor realize that this dude's gonna shop doctors until he finds one willing to do the surgery anyway, so either he does the surgery/makes the money/does it right, or he lets the patient walk and loses money/risks being labelled transphobic/they go get it done by some shady scammer in a third world country that's just gonna scoop out their taint with a melon baller? It's just better both from a PR, business, and maaaaybe "moral" standing to just do the surgery. I mean granted the best option would be to tell them "look you're not gonna pass, this surgery isn't that great, you're gonna suffer from this, you really need to think about this less flippantly," but hey, lesser of two evils.

I have GCS in four weeks and my roommate is threatening...
I will make this short; I was one of the not-so-fortunate trans-woman who had her GCS surgery postponed due to COVID. And to add salt to the wound, I have lost so many friends and family that I'm basically going this alone. This means that after I'm discharged from the hospital on day two, I will be taken home by a co-worker, and recovery will be my responsibility. I understand this isn't ideal; however, I CAN'T postpone my surgery just for this reason. I NEED THIS! MY DISPHORIA IS CRIPALING! I called out of the work and had severe depression when my surgery was postponed back in April, and I don't know what I would do if it didn't happen again.
So here is my issue, my roommate is threatening that if I come home from the hospital, she will do everything possible to have me admitted to a hospital or sent away. She believes I would be risking my life by coming home. She initially thought I should be in the hospital for an entire month, but when I told her my surgeon was confident that I didn't need a nurse at home and that I should be able to take care of myself fairly quickly, she changed her opinion to the first two weeks.
So here is my issue, my roommate is threatening that if I come home from the hospital, she will do everything possible to have me admitted to a hospital or sent away.
