Autogynephilia is a terrible thing.
Also, there are plenty of batshit crazy FTM out there, but they're less common so they're less visible. And instead of fully trooning out, a lot of girls just go with silly made-up genders or call themselves "non-binary" now.

Honestly, I kinda doubt men around them do dress well. Most of these dudes generally wear like... hoodies, a graphic tee, cargo shorts/ill-fitting jeans and some unflattering glasses, and then they just swap those out with a sailor uniform and some tranz ritez thigh-highs/chokers/fishnet gloves etc etc.
It makes me wonder if awkward "nerdy" dudes would be less likely to troon out if someone just showed them how to wear clothes that made them look and feel good.
Like, of course that kid thinks they're trans at 14. Early adolescence is hell for everyone, that doesn't mean you hate being a dude! Your body isn't even done growing, how do you know that you hate it?
Transitioning is considered a supplement for awkward puberty, and I get sad if I think about that for too long.

When I play a video game with a female character, there's something arousing about dressing her up in erotic clothing thats different than just her being like that on her own.
I imagine that 'arousing' feeling they get is the same thing, but they're doing it to themselves and not a bunch of polygons on a screen.

Honestly, all the self accepting AGPs/Blanchardists I have met have been pretty even tempered and normal. I think it's the suppression and denial of AGP that makes people nutso.

An AGP who acknowledges they are one and keeps it in the bedroom is much more respectable than a troon.
The problem with AGP (and extreme fetishes in general) is they constantly need more. It starts with lingerie, and then makeup, and then dresses, and then trooning out, and then hormones, and then FFS, and then maybe even SRS, and then they wake up in the post op room no longer able to experience sexual arousal and realize they’ve fucked up.

Eh, there's a fair bit that medically transition if you dig, some fully, most not, and a couple on/off detrans. I don't know the statistics but it's out there if you look. But many are all like "haha yeah I'm an AGP, what about it?" and rarely seem to chimp, and actually seem to kinda resent the current trans status quo. They seem to actually seem capable of balanced discussions, even the ones that identify as AGP trans women and not just AGP. But of course like you said there is always a retard or a handfull wherever you go that are lolcow material.
The sensible AGP community is actually some pretty interesting stuff. I wish the greater trans community would stop acting like it's crazy fringe science when it makes a lot of sense when you read the material and don't spin it into either political bias.
