Portal would have been a better example of a successful game with a female lead. The only reason the player even knows her gender is because you see your avatar in a mirror at the start of the game. Since you don't see your reflection again until the sequel you could argue that she's the most popular, least sexualized female lead in gaming.
Of course people still draw porn of her.

...Then again, I'm not surprised that Dobby's defending something that everyone else decries as being sexist, given that he likes Metroid: Other M.
In Dobson's mind, the reason the game didn't sell well had nothing to do with its quality and everything to do with the fact that the main character was a woman, AKA not a guy with a 5-o'clock shadow who shoots things up.
