I wish I could find the article now it was some important woman at a college somewhere
It's more than one person. I've heard it repeatedly, and even in person from someone I know.

The Apple Watch is proof that America is decadent and depraved.
Change the facial expression of all the characters from Brianna Wu to a sweet smile. Then replace their battle catsuits with bikinis and have them play volleyball on a lovely beach.Off topic, but how would you make Rev60 fun without changing everything?
That reminds me of how I recently bought an eighty dollar bicycle and started having to duct tape the same ancient, non-online phone I've been using for ages.First was a 8,000 dollar motorcycle now a 400 dollar watch.
First was a 8,000 dollar motorcycle now a 400 dollar watch. That doesn't seem like scraping by to me.
Normally I would be offended at you likening the great Weird Al to someone as obnoxious as Wu, but according to an interview about this video Mr. Yankovic said he wanted to portray a "douchey character", so mission accomplished!Perfect, especially because Weird Al expressions reminds me alot of Brianna's
It looks like an excuse for fake infosec types to get together, swap business cards and collect some perdiem and tax deductible entertainment expenses without have to be around weird people at blackhat. Will be keynoting law enforcement’s National Cybercrime Conference Wednesday.
The actual keynote speaker is a man named Howard A. Schmidt.
I said this in the chat, but I'll say it here, too.
Wu seems unaware that characters are allowed to have negative traits (sexism, racism, etc) in a story. He seems to think that if a character HAS a trait like that, that means the creator(s) of the game has those sentiments, regardless of whether or not that trait is fitting for the character or setting. Characters with these traits add texture to the setting and create a more believable world, since characters have differing opinions.
When looking at Wu, it is clear to see that he doesn't know how to write. His characters are one-dimensional with the personalities of runny glue. They have no flaws, no outstanding traits, and serve only to direct the flow of a meaningless plot, rather than give depth to the world that they inhabit. It's clear to see, in this case, the following things:
He quite literally has less skill at storytelling and literary analysis than a fourth-grader.
- Wu doesn't know how stories work.
- As per @Jaimas , Wu doesn't know how context works.
- Wu doesn't know how basic literary devices work.

“GamerGate has ruined my life,” said Brianna Wu, founder of the Boston-based game studio Giant Spacekat. The target of relentless harassment since “The Zoe Post,” Wu was forced to flee her home in Arlington after anonymous attackers leaked her address. Over the past six months, she’s received dozens of death threats, including a YouTube video during which a man wearing a skull mask speaks to the camera: “We’ll stop at nothing to bring back the way it used to be in the 1950s [when] there weren’t any bitches in video games,” the man, wielding a hammer, said, calling for “the death of Brianna Wu.”

He then urged viewers to reject inaccurate media depictions of of skellingtons and urged voters to legalize something called jenkem. So not directly related to Wu, but an ass-licking article on Zoe Quinn came out in the Boston magazine today and Wu gets a hilarious mention on the last page:
They still don't get it!

I wonder if someone starts posting as the easter bunny telling Brianna wu that they will hide rotten eggs around her place where no one will ever find it the media will run with that story too as an actual threat
almost worth giving it a go just to see that.Buzzfeed, HuffPo, XOFat, Jezebel, Polygon, Destructoid, Rock, Paper, Shotgun: "Masked Gamergate terrorist threatens to use biological & chemical weapons against acclaimed videogame (Revolution 60, GOTY) developer Briana Wu"
Unfortunately they're going to meet an even weirder persyn. But I guess it is part of the entertainment package? It looks like an excuse for fake infosec types to get together, swap business cards and collect some perdiem and tax deductible entertainment expenses without have to be around weird people at blackhat.
The main problem is that Wu thinks that every character is meant to push an agenda. He doesn't grasp the concept of "character", he thinks that everything revolves around him and his beliefs.I think if Wu ever watched GoT she would be perma-triggered. Even more so if she read the books.
