The correct response to this is "fine, I'm taking it all out and doing it as I planned to originally, and you can go make your own game. There's no pleasing you people" and put them all on ignore/block.
I feel bad for this developer, because he won't have the good sense to do that, probably for fear of "offending" people again.

I admit I have no idea who the developer is, but I feel bad for them too. I think their biggest issue is just the language barrier. Trying to have a nuanced conversation on Twitter is almost impossible as it is, but it becomes even more of a mess when you're not fluent in the language you're speaking in. He did say he wasn't going to make anymore changes at the very least.
I'd be curious if anyone with more context could chime in on what kind of wrongthink the dev committed.
