i trully hope you are right
but this needs to happen in the next 2 years
if he manages to stay afloat for years and save money and maybe start a his own busyness or invest or some shit like that
then whats the point?
he might as well put that "thank you fort the money you worthless humans" above his house in bold letters
in that case, he wins. i wont get any pleasure from that as i ll see a crime go unpunished.
what do i care if he selfdestructs and i never find out about it, when he has quit youtube, 5 years from now?
i cant wait

And herein lies the problem. You tore your heart open, you sewed yourself shut, your weakness is, that you cared too much.

Did you give him any of your money? Did he steal anything from you or defraud you of anything? Then why do you think he owes you anything, even his destruction?

The sounds of it, you just watched his shitty videos. I'd say you shouldn't have done that but really who cares? Seriously, who gives a flying fat fuck?

And one last thing, you "wont get any pleasure from that as i ll see a crime go unpunished"? Hahahaha WHAT CRIME HAS HE FUCKING COMMITTED????? There isn't one! He's not a criminal, he's just a stupid douchebag! There are millions of them on Earth man, shit Justin Bieber is a stupid asshole but I don't begrudge him his ability to sell things to people. It's not DSP's or the Bieb's or the producer's fault if people purchase their products unless they're fraudulent in some way. That's it, that's all. Phil isn't a fraud, he's just a stupid asshole, and when you derive some sort of pleasure from his demise and unhappiness, well then, so are you.

Basically dude, You Are A-Log, because A-Log insisted that he would derive pleasure from Chris dying or otherwise being in serious pain and anguish...at least A-Log did it because he felt like Chris was maligning his mental illness, lol you have even less of a horse in this fucking race.

ofcourse i cared, i watched his vids for years, he was like an online friend that not only betrayed me, he told me to fuck off and shit on the attention i gave him
no i didnt give him money directly but i did give him views

the crime is betrayal of my trust.
i dont think he is as stupid as you think but ok.
i havent done anything against him, except voice my mind and i dont care to do anything more, its not worth the effort.
i just wait and hope for the best (his worst)

Lol

Betraying your trust isnt a crime. There was no contract between you and absolutely no obligation on phil at all. He is free to make whatever content he wants- even if he does treat his fans badly.

Its baffling that after watching him for years you didnt see this coming- he's always been an unpleasant character.

You really need to ease off the ranting, he's just a shitty youtuber, there are plenty others to choose from.

Hahaha you're so evil

You said you can't wait more than two years for his demise!

You really really hate phil. Do you flip out like this when football teams change cities? How mad were you about santa? Do you like liquor?

breach of trust
1) any act which is in violation of the duties or a trustee or of the terms of a trust. Such a breach need not be intentional or with malice, but can be due to negligence.
There is no trust, in the legal sense here. He was under no obligation to do anything beyond make videos, and you are under no obligation to watch them or like them.
2) breaking a promise or confidence.
Again, he didn't promise you anything, and there was no contract signed or other legally binding obligation for you to do anything other than watch the videos.

"Paging @Saul Goodman, Saul Goodman to the DSP thread, thank you."

"Paging @Saul Goodman, Saul Goodman to the DSP thread, thank you."

With the proviso that I'm (a) hopped up on pain meds, and (b) haven't read all the details here (because the thread is long, and frankly a tad boring), there doesn't seem to be any obligation.

The only thing I could think of is if the guy had an actual contract with DSP and he materially breached it (i.e. substantially failed to do something he was obligated to do), then there might be a legal controversy. Otherwise, this seems like random butthurt.

And now the butthurt seems to have transferred to my abdomen, so I'm going to push the button on the pain pump again.

Have fun sperging, my friends.

Thank you very much, good sir. @Shishio, this is what I'm talking about: you're not a customer because you didn't buy anything from him. He didn't sell you anything, he's not directly advertising a product, and you will get nothing from this. It's the same thing as watching an ad on TV: you are not obligated to buy anything simply by watching the ad, and that's basically all you've been doing.

Holy shit nested colons, I fail English.

he has a busyness, as he so often calls it
i am a customer
i m sure a jackal lawyer could find a legal leg to stand on.

My degree took a little longer than two seconds.

This is not a legal trust- he is not exercising the rights to something you own on your behalf. (im aware i massively simplified what a trust is in the interests of time: trusts are labyrinthine)

There is no breach of confidence or promise- he has promised you nothing and there is no duty owed towards you.

You are not his customer. He makes his money from ads and youtube, it is with them he has his contracts (or likely in youtube's case a kind of complex partnership).

You are his viewer. Your views are used by the adcompanies and youtube to work out how to pay phil but you have no direct legal relationship.

He has committed no crimes. Even if you were right and he was in violation of some imagined law breach of trust or breach of contract are civil wrongs.

EDIT: @Saul Goodman, @TheIceCreamMan and @ChuckSlaughter have it right, you are getting ridiculously butthurt over one 'entertainer' in a saturated market.

Adding you to kiwi farms legal personnel.txt :heart-full:

But yeah seriously, my understanding of the law of the United States is comparatively pedestrian but even I know that watching a video is not legally binding in any sense.

Is it just me or is it starting to smell like a new thread being born in here?

:alog:

Seriously? DSP is just a dude who acts like a retard on video and for some reason had fanboys willing to pay for it and content companies willing to monetize his shit.

It may be lame, but it isn't a "crime."
