God dammit. Between this and Double Trouble from New She-Ra why are all these nonbinary/agender/whatever voice actors getting gigs where they "just play themselves"? At least with creepy-lipstick-ma'am they named the character something other than "Jacob" and had an in-universe reason for the shapeshifting lizard-weirdo to be "nonbinary".

I think it's because very few people care about Graig of the Creek. I tried watching it but didn't get past the first episode witch unusual for me since I tent give 3-4 episodes for a show to get past starting hiccups. I found just so boring. PPG reboot had still old fans that couldn't believe how bad job they were doing but this show seems similar to Clarence. It's not good or bad enough to stand out so people might watch it but are unlikely to care about it.

Truthfully, whenever people do speak about it it’s either to
A. Point out the creators are the same writers from Steven Universe, thus making an SUverse
B. To praise the series for it’s LGBT and racial diversity, especially since the main character is black.
When you consider point A, everything about point B makes so much sense.

Jacob is just the name of Double Trouble’s voice actor.

Nah. The voice actor's name is just "Jacob Tobia" but in the case of "Jared" from New!PPG and "Angel" from Craig of the Creek they're basically self-insert characters. The former being a Jacob/Jake situation and the latter being a literal 1:1 with the VA being Angel Lorenzana.
