Dublin today. Can't wait for the spike in covid cases due to people protesting domestic issues in a country on the other side of the world. While I understand wanting to show solidarity and the initial protests were understandable in the US, now is not the fucking time.
The social media posts from people I know who support these protests are trying to shoehorn in the issue of how asylum seekers are treated in Ireland, so they have something to talk about I guess since police brutality against minorities isn't something you hear about all to often around here.
