Yeah, but Disney owns most of those, so I hope that while Disney shits out Frozen 3 and some bad remakes, some other people in Hollywood will be forced to make something new out of self-defence, cause nothing else can be done.

But in times of economic uncertainty, studios default to rehashes, so we are more likely to see a remake of Back to the Future than any new IP. Shitsucks.

The 2008 Recession hit home that fact because after that recession ended we got undeservingly fucked with too many remakes, rehashes, reboots, and sequels. Because of this, we now got streaming services being home to the newer stuff.

Keep in mind Disney has a new CEO that is likely going to be incompetent as hell. I also stand by my belief that Disney will get bought out within a decade due to their greed and incompetence.

You're either misremembering the events in question or being deliberately misleading. I joined a pre-existing discussion of the Prequel Trilogy in the RLM thread that had been going for several pages already (and was bouncing back and forth comparing the PT with the ST, the Picard series and the "Plinkett" review of the same, so, not even remotely off-topic, particularly considering that RLM owe their success to the "Plinkett" reviews of the Prequels in the first place).
 

Really at this point, Disney should just release raw footage of things, and let the fans make much better movies out of them.

(I also like how the dub mouth is actually very close to Rey's actual mouth - she should have been named Guppy.)

With the #SynderCut now happening, I expect the Disney drones to make Disney release the director's cut of Plan IX. Expect Disney won't do that kind of shit.

There's also the fact that Kennedy and her team will likely want to fuck it up. Maybe even Filoni will want a hand in that too since he seems to have a ridiculous amount of pull these days, even more than her. I expect a major retcon of Indy canon and have them fuck up Ford/Indy to look like a barely athletic 80 year old with bad cgi who dies or gives up shamelessly while someone woke and shittier takes his place a la Terminator, Picard or the Disney Trilogy. Despite that, the best thing they can do is keep Indy dead and in flashbacks and have his older son (not played by Shia) or Shortround take his place. And with Shortround you have your politically correct protagonist mandate met while giving fans a character they actually like. But nope, chances are it'll just be an obnoxious retread of the first two movies with lots of forced nostalgia and repetitive quotes that has Indy die at the end or play second banana to Ruby Rose.

But in brighter news, High Republic has been put on hold because of Corona and the cringefest that is SW Celebration might not happen this year.

Having never set through rise of Skywalker, reading it was less rage inducing due to Ridley's inability to act, I am very interested in this. Hell, I'd watch just the Lucas cut, which we know is sitting there. Won't happen, because it isn't about Rei Sue, but I'd actually spend money on that.

He's an obnoxious shit, but Kennedyfilm is a seeping hemorrhoid right now, from what I understand. Not hard to have 'sources' there with the civil war going on.

Pretty much, Disney and other Hollywood studios are obsessed with trying to copy the MCU and after failure after failure still can't grasp that the MCU was lightning in a bottle.
