I hate this is a very common reblog phrase on Tumblr. What it really means is "I like this".

It's used for even things the speaker likes, but has found something so staggeringly trivial to whine about that you want to slap them across the face. I got unfollowed yesterday by somebody who decided to send me an ask that they liked my blog, but couldn't follow me because I was "a tad problematic."

They didn't explain what it was I did and I found it pretty presumptuous that they thought they should announce their unfollowing me when I'd never even talked with them once.

It's like accusing somebody of fucking witchcraft.

'Problematic' is just a really convenient buzzword for "anything I don't like for some arbitrary reason that I'll just claim is sexist, misogynist, or whatever the fuck so no one can argue with me otherwise they're an evil bigot who needs to check their privilege or something".

Really it's everything wonderful about "tumblr culture" wrapped up in one pretty little smug sounding word.

problematic is great- its what the SJW's use when they have too little knowledge to even mansplain you!

I used to use it in uni to describe fundamental unanswerable contradictions or conflicts in the law. SJW's use it this way too- if they use it at you it means you have raised a point that contradicts them that they can't answer. It absolutely should be called out as a tacit admission of defeat.

They always say things like "Look at how gay I am!", or "Look at dis pic of me bein gay!", or "I am sooooooo gay! Straight people suck!" They like to make fun of straight guys who say "no homo" after every other sentence, but this is basically "no hetero".
