There was a time when I was younger that I thought this was a real pilot for a show in Japan. Ahh, the early days of the internet. Also, the person who made this also went on to direct one of the greatest music videos of all time, Frontier Psychiatrist.

Those are not wild tigers and they have been raised in captivity. While captive or trained animals do not drastically decease the risk of a deadly attack to near zero, they are familiar with the people around them and that does help mitigate instinctual behavoirs.

Sometimes the reverse is true. For example, wild wolves will normally keep their distance from a human. But wolves raised by humans have worked out that human are basically ambulatory spam - no hide, claws, horns, stingers or chimpanzee strength: just soft meat you barely have to chew. Wolves are intelligent and social, like dogs, but they are not dogs. So a domesticated wolf is way more dangerous than a wild one. And I could see the same potentially being true of big cats. If they've always been fed and cared for then they'll have never properly gone feral. But once they do, you're in big trouble. Cats are like that - because they're raised and never kicked out to fend for themselves by their mother, they remain in a kind of permanent semi-kitten state psychologically. But when they've gone wild they're never the same.

Pics unrelated.
