In seriousness though I complain whenever I get on a plane, the seats are to short for me to sit in, unless I pay for 1st or business class and smaller cars are a hell to travel in or drive.

Jesus. I prefer taller guys, true, but that's because I'm 5'9" in stocking feet and would like to not feel like a lumbering giant by towering over my partner. It's not a hard-and-fast rule, though; personality counts for a LOT. If you're short and confident in who you are, then you're cool. If you're six feet tall and a whiny bitch (like, say, complaining about your height), yeah, I'm going for the short guy.
Minor digression: all the Marine drill instructors I've ever met, more than a few, were shorter than me. They were all also badass mofos who mixed confidence with people skills. That? Is sexy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the main reason people are taller on average today is because of better nutrition and not just genetics? If you look in places like North Korea, people there are short on average because they are malnourished due to the incompetence of the government.

well to be fair I bet most women would prefer a male who is taller then them.
Although I don't know why. Honestly anyone male under 5.4 does face a more daunting dating world.

You want to know the odd thing, Stature based pay is a thing, and not in the way you would think.
I am 6ft 6in tall and was discounted from Mars one for being to tall (I will point out this was during the application phase and I did it mostly for a laugh), and most astronauts are under 6ft most of them are way under, an supposedly no one over 6ft tall has been on the Moon. I would love SJW's to try an explain that.
