I sometimes don't think that adult cartoon fans care about the cartoon itself and that they're more interested in the community involved.

I feel so sorry for the creators of SU and uncle grandpa. Especially for the SU creators. Now they are constantly walking on eggshells. Nearly everything they say, do and did in the past is offensive, triggering, [insert phobia] and so on. This is what happens when raging special snowflakes and SJW enter a fandom.

I remember when the hobbit fandom was awesome and then suddenly countless posts about dwarves, gender and pronouns appeared. Because everything which has androgyne characters or characters who see gender different as our current society will attract special snowflakes.

If you have special snowflakes in a fandom - the drama level rises over 9000. It's fucking crazy. No creator deserves such a rabid fandom.

I haven't paid attention to Yamino and her "CARTOONS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS" nonsense in the past few years. She did the same thing with Adventure Time over some shipteasing over Marceline/Princess Bubblegum, pretty much saying if you didn't see it was totally canon, you're a homophobe. I think she's been a major influence on Tumblr for holding that attitude and having such a virulent hatred of bronies.

Thing is, it used to be mostly Yamino doing that with some very vocal supporters. Now this shit is everywhere.

It's really the usual suspects that start shit in the MLP fandom, names like "dragondicks" and "kickneckbeardass." Most of these people have had a hate for MLP fans for years and got outraged at the idea of an SU site run by someone who worked on a pony site. The original post that started it all was by KNA and she is pretty infamous for her bad behavior. Trying to lead an angry mob to successfully bully someone out of "your" fandom because the site posted pictures of horses in socks...not too solid but Tumblr bought it.
