Don't you just love it when people on the internet act like rational people and accept that mistakes happen. Too bad it never happens and people freak out for the sake of being offended.

As someone who actually likes UG, despite how stupid that show can be, SU is not without its moments where it royally pisses me off even more than the UG... Oh, and the fanbase, overall, sucks just as much as the ponyfags, IMHO, but despite liking the show on subject myself, I knew that - and that this was inevitable. That's Tumblr for you, however...
 
This is why my dream scenario for epic tard drama is that Cartoon Network cancels Steven Univers and puts MLP in the same time slot.

Imagine the anguish!

The thing is that I think Tumblr has done this several times to several different shows. Everything from Littlest Pet Shop to Sailor Moon. It mainly is because they think cartoons are a finite resource and one group has to "own" a cartoon, in spite of them complaining constantly at fandoms they don't like "stealing" the content from the target audiences. Sigh... I refuse to call these people "fans", sadly enough...

To speak honestly on all of this (Spergyness ahoy.)... I actually like Littlest Pet Shop (2012) and Sailor Moon, too (but that was when I was growing up, that is, probably not so much, now...) - and that's just two more shows these fuckers obsess over, ruining decent TV experience for me with their constant over-bickering and over-analyzing that both examples are not as good as something else. It's sad and annoying, as well as embarrassing to put up with after awhile. should be able to enjoy what I want, but it's just so damn hard to do when the fanbase is making it an embarrassing experience to even overcome after awhile.

And this isn't the first and last time this will ever happen, all because we seem starved for good entertainment in general, no matter who, what, or where we are today.

Holy shit this is so pathetic. I know tumblr fandoms are pretty retarded, but this sense of entitlement the SU fandom has is just so pitiful? Getting their diapers in a twist over fucking porn of all things, when there is already so much of it. I hate going on tumblr, but I really wanna go through the tag later today after the UG episode airs. Im hoping there will be some whining and crying.

As much as I think Uncle Grandpa is kind of stupid, it is nowhere near as bad as some of the other shows on Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon/Disney. I have to say the Steven Universe fandom is acting EXTREMELY entitled about "owning" the show and the fact that a damn good portion of the fandom is complaining to the actual writers of the show about this along with the other baby war with the bronies, kind of seriously ruined the fandom for me. Like, I knew the fandom was going to be taken over by SJWs/former bronies/other idiots very early on last year, but this is just inexcusable.

Congratulations Steven Universe fandom, you are now the new Sonic fandom.

I enjoy it immensely. The characters are fairly endearing, and the way the story develops to where it is now is really interesting.
 
Jesus Christ. It's just a cartoon... IT's not revolutionary like Chuck Jones or Tex Avery, but it's still a cartoon and you shouldn't take it so seriously.
And this is coming from one of the Elder Scrolls spergs.

Im pretty sure a small majority of people in the SU fandom would disagree with you, they just hate Uncle Grandpa. Im not a fan of it myself but I have enough common sense to know that this show was made for children (kids like fart jokes right?). And of course a show that targets children will collaborate with another show that targets children, which the SU fandom forgets all the time. Which is pretty ironic in itself, considering the fact they shame Bronies for liking a show that caters to children :\

They're pretty really self righteous for no reason. Honestly, who the fuck even feels proud of being part of shit like this?

I'm actually looking forward to the Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa crossover. It's so surreal and at the same time hilarious to think about. The SU fandom needs to calm down and not judge a book by its cover.

I haven't paid attention to Yamino and her "CARTOONS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS" nonsense in the past few years. She did the same thing with Adventure Time over some shipteasing over Marceline/Princess Bubblegum, pretty much saying if you didn't see it was totally canon, you're a homophobe. I think she's been a major influence on Tumblr for holding that attitude and having such a virulent hatred of bronies.

Thing is, it used to be mostly Yamino doing that with some very vocal supporters. Now this shit is everywhere.

I do the same with Doctor Who. Absolutely love the show - fucking hate the fans (both the 10th Doctor Squee fangirls and the crusty old Classic fans. Sometimes I think it's the only way to truly be able to enjoy a show.

This fandom is fucking nuts and I think it really demonstrates everything that is wrong with Tumblr in one fell swoop.
