There was an alright idea this guy had going but he clearly is more interested in coasting of the money of people wanting to support Vic then actually making the story he wants reality to warrant such support. I hate seeing people being taken advantage of like this and glad Vic called him out on this. Hope someone else takes this genesis beast people idea and actually do something with it because Its clear to me that Kenneth Fantasy Soft is not going to deliver on. Great thread btw OP.
 
He really should have just focused on one project at a time. Like every single one of these things he's announced needed like a boatload of people to see to completion.
 
If you want furries + bible it's not complicated at all. Just make the actual kind of furries that normal people are familiar with, like Veggie Tales is vegetables telling Christian morals. Target it at children, have a church mouse that ends up sent back in time and appearing at different 'bible story' moments in the bible, like traveling with the animals on Noah's Ark, or riding with the Israelites out of Egypt, or meeting Jesus. If you wanna go a further Furry step, just do the bible stories but instead of humans, they're animals, like lion king or loony toons. I'm pretty sure that already exists, in fact. The one thing you don't do is make it sexualized furries.

You know.

Because you're making a Christian product targeted at Christian youth, whose parents aren't going to accept sexual crap whether it's furry or not.

Honestly the whole "make a bible cartoon for kids" model is outdated, since the generation that used to roll their eyes at that shit are now having kids themselves and they don't want their children to be educated about Jesus by a talking fruit. Dreamworks Prince of Egypt levels of quality yes, but not fucking "my first shitty attempt at funding an animated project".
This whole premise was outdated from the start. I'm not going to pretend that I know the direction that mainstream religion is going to head next, but it isn't going to be the 90's all over again; that's for sure.
 
This guy tried too hard to ride on Vic Mignogna for clout and that wasn't the starting of his failures.
 
If you want biblical edutainment you should aim for Passion of The Christ or Prince of Egypt, those were actually well done and handled with care. There's tons of stories from The Bible that can be very entertaining.

Then you have batshit weirdness like Noah and those Mormon Jesus shorts.

I was always under the impression Adventures from the Book of Virtues is exactly what this dude wanted to make (it's not Christian-based far as I can tell, though), but it's not with furries, it's human children talking to... magic animals or something named after ancient philosophers.

Even so, Big Idea did 3, 2, 1, Penguins which is with space penguins taking Christian children out on adventures and learning morals. Horrifying CGI movies-asides, it's not a new idea at all, but some interesting ideas could potentially be made. The ideas were outlandish, but what I had seen advertised from the website and Twitter it looked like there was promise even if it wasn't my cup of tea. I think it's wonderful the guy has these ideas he wants to make, but he bit off way more than he could chew and has to choke on his own words. Not to mention his "children's shows" happened to have degeneracy involved which was going to come to light sooner or later--he could make excuses the Bible has gotten explicit as such, but there's a reason those stories get toned down when it gets discussed or shown to children. Even the Richard Rich Animated Stories from the New Testament had to have the violence off-camera or stated in narration what happened next (like mentioning John the Baptist gets executed after baptizing Jesus, no need to animate him getting beheaded), most explicit they've shown before cutting away to another scene was women showing a bit more skin than usual dancing around drinking men to show debauchery, no signs of "owo what's this" bulges in robes and the like.

Good thing this all fell apart before it started making its way toward actual children, even if it had no chance whatsoever.
 
Kenneth's excuse was that Prince Nai (Vic's character he had drawn with a bulge) was supposed to be a sex addict and that's portrayed as a bad thing. But what sort of Christian media portrays shit like that? Especially since that picture isn't even in the context of a story, it's just a picture of a furry with a bulge in his pants. At that point it's just softcore porn, which Christians aren't supposed to be looking at because it tempts lust.

But is Kenneth gay or bisexual? It seems a bit odd (queer, you might even say) for someone to commission/draw something that homoerotic if they aren't. And the furry community is well known for being full of homos too. Considering he's black and lives with his elderly mother (not recipes for being open about homosexuality) I guess we'll never know for certain.

Update, actually the series did have Christian-based lessons. It wasn't just lessons from the Bible, though, they used Aesop's Fables as well among other stories which is probably why I wasn't sure if there was anything Christian about it. Guess I had missed the Bible episodes or something.

So yeah, FSE didn't really have anything new going for it. How Christian of him to take advantage of people's good graces to get his wet dream pitched, though. :story:

In 2010, Kenneth went to a "Shark Tank" type event in his home state and pitched Prince Adventures to a panel of local venture capitalists. He asked for $1.5 million dollars for a 35% stake in Fantasy Soft Entertainment.

Tyler Thomas, the guy who was making The Last of the Disciples game that Kenneth was producing deleted all the social media pages for it last year and has recently considered turning it into an audio book. He blames himself for promoting it before he had the necessary funding, but says that was done under the assumption that Kenneth would fund the project. The meager amount of money in the Fantasy Soft Entertainment Patreon was supposed to pay for it and all the other projects.

Tyler is actually the face of the Patreon as his video is used to explain what it's for. Both his video and The Last of the Disciples are still featured, even though he said on June 26th, 2019, that the best course of action for all parties would be to remove it from the public eye until there was a legitimate source of funding and to allow everyone to do their own thing. This split happened about a month before the announcement that Fantasy Soft Entertainment had lost a big donor, who was said to be one of Kenneth's close friends. 🤔

It's amazing that Kenneth was still promoting The Last of the Disciples as one of the two games Fantasy Soft was making even after the developer essentially quit because Kenneth didn't have any money to pay him.

It's kind of sad. In a way, a furry twist on the Bible would be interesting in terms of the Old Testament. Like...what if Cain's mark over killing Abel was being turned into a furry, and as a result, humans and furries began to spread across the world? Or what if someone actually did the Prince Adventures' "What if the Temptation was just fucking a furry"? Or even just go the obvious, simple route and do shit like the Lamb of God being a literal anthropomorphic lamb, and the shepherds of the metaphorical flock being dogs or something? Or even go the simpler simpler simplegst route of just having the furries be all of the demons and devils in the Bible based off that "Tempted by a furry" Genesis change?

Like...you could honestly go places with "The Bible, but furries" even if you played it straight, and I think FSE just kind of ruined the concept with his exceptionalism.
