Honestly don't know how he can listen to his own "music" and think that it sounds like anything remotely resembling a melody or song or anything passable as music. I suppose his music "passes as music" a little better than he passes as a trans female.

He just has it there because he's larping as a musician. He can't, and doesn't actually read music or play actual music. He just "noodles", which apparently is his version of a child banging on an instrument just to make noise. He was challenged by someone at AMB years ago to learn and play "Take 5". Tom failed. The AMB guy not only taught himself to play sax and "Take 5", but he did so wearing a TommyTooter Hobro T-shirt from the AMB Store.

Here is a video of him trying to read music to prove that he's not schizo-affective by rising to the challenge of being able to focus on something for an hour:
