Reminds me of that thing a million years ago where a museum was doing like, Kimono Wednesdays, where you got a kimono and learned about Japan and a bunch of white women got super butthurt on behalf of Japanese people (who then responded themselves saying "no actually we're cool with it, you white people are the ones getting offended everywhere," which was also their response to Americans freaking out over Avril Lavigne's song "Hello Kitty.") Japanese people are pretty conservative by and large.
