Sorry if this was already discussed but 2 things seem a bit off to me.
1. Based on what was written down, there didn't seem to be any blood/pool of blood where she supposedly hit the ground. Considering her injury, how likely is that?
2. Did Onision give police the footage from security cameras or the one he recorded on his own? We know his security cameras cover are numerous.
Tinfoil: What if it happened inside the house or in a different way and he recorded his own footage so that they wouldn't need the one from security cameras?
(Sorry if I missed some contradicting info and this makes zero sense, it's just a tinfoil.)
1) Very likely. She didn't bust her head open - her skull was fractured and pressing inward toward her brain. We're accustomed to seeing pneumatic explosions of blood and gore from various films that depict someone falling out of windows onto pavement but mostly, in such accidents, the victim is more likely to become a human bean bag - bones shattered, organs turned to goo - than to smash open like a watermelon. Human bodies tend to "splat" inward rather than outward.
Unrelated, but Sarah's report that her laptop never made it to law enforcement cements my growing doubt about the usefulness of Chris Hansen's involvement, at least as far as legal action goes. I consider him a journalist, and feel that in the relaying of information, aside from his penchant for interviewing every single disgruntled Onision hanger-on, he's been very useful. But I'm beginning to get the feeling that Hansen may have fallen too low in his profession to have too many law enforcement connections anymore - though the police in Greg's neck of the woods seemed to like him - and may have been talking tall because all his eggs are in this YouTube basket. His days of network TV journalism are over and he's in financial trouble due to his divorce and waning career prospects - he really needs his YouTube endeavor to pay off.
I think ignorance of how to use the web properly caused him to invest in Vincent, and desperation has prevented him from disavowing Vincent when he's clearly a gross little goblin man and pretty much dumb to boot. I think his trust in Vincent has permitted vital evidence against Onision - that fucking laptop - to become useless. The chain of custody was already iffy since Sarah gave it to Hansen's team to take to the police, permitting them to look for evidence and then give it to the authorities. Even if Vincent gave it to the FBI now, I worry it's useless, especially since I suspect Vincent has very little technical expertise in such matters and has mucked up the hard drive. Vincent is beginning to remind me of Takedownman, that fat stupid dude who convinced everyone in his trailer park and the stupider parts of YouTube that he was a super elite hacker taking down pedophiles when he was really a semi-literate, lecherous polygamist with some sketchy behavior with minors under his own belt. I think teaming with him was a terrible mistake, I think not disavowing him when he was revealed to be creepy and inappropriate was a terrible mistake, and I think because Chris permitted this weird monkey man to have control of vital evidence, evidence he knows Vincent could trash if he wanted, Chris's nuts are in a vice. If he fires Vincent, Vincent could erase the hard drive and make Hansen look like a fool.
And I also now think that Chris only knew about an FBI investigation because he read about it in the police report, not because of contacts or any evidence he has turned over. I think he spoke carefully enough to make it seem like he was the source of this revelation without actually saying that in particular, and I think Vincent has destroyed the use of that laptop. And while I don't think Onision will skate away free from this as he always has in the past - at the very least his online career is finally over, and he and Lainey face a bleak as fuck financial future as well as continual social shunning wherever they live - I think Chris's involvement has been a mixed blessing and that he has possibly played a role in fucking up some of the most solid evidence proving Lainey and Greg's predatory behaviors. I fear we will have to wait for the wetlands issues to land him in prison, unless he ends up killing his family in an incendiary narc rage.
