Looks like she's still working with Enter after all. And turns out they're making new characters for ANOTHER SHOW. I'm... actually okay with that. If he's never gonna finish anything anyway, I'd rather him focus on a bunch of smaller projects than keep making one project bigger and bigger.
Wait is this the girl who thinks her drawings are worth $100? God. I hate to be an asshole cause I dont draw and probably couldnt do better, but come on, in what world is that worth that amount of money. Its like a cute doodle a high schooler would do. Theres nothing wrong with that per se but know your worth. If I was her, I'd keep up those old prices because those seem much more fair, if anything a bit generous of people to actually give her business for that price.

Also got caught up on all the reviews from Catscratch to whatever one came out today. Theyre bad as usual. He isnt even trying with half of them. The Barnyard and Tuff Puppy ones are embarassingly bad even by Enter standards.

Why does she use such ugly browns as skin colors?
There are ways to make a character black/tan and appealing at the same time

keep in mind they were suggesting that as an hourly rate. so it would be in practical terms closer to 600+ which makes it even more insane
Do commission artists really do that now? When I used to sell it was usually per piece and determinate on different factors like intricacy, design, and amount of characters. Ava's art definitely isn't good enough to be doing that.

This is what I do, because per hour would be ridiculous.

Honestly, I question who her art teacher is to state that they should be charging by minimum wage. I rarely know anyone- even artists better than Ava - that actually do this.

That being said, it seems Ava is still drawing for Enter and likely no money attached.

And apparently this project stars a character he ripped off from his dA friend? And she readily admits it's just a rip off of her OC? Okay then...

ETA: Today's is delayed because vidya again.

I can't wait to see which side of the Korra shitflinging isle he parrots points from while still trying to spare the video from dislikes.

If you want a little preview, he's talked about this show before. He leans very negative.

Edit: Holy crap, I've been listening to this video in the background, and the projection around 17:32 is mind-boggling. "Avoiding any sense of getting a job to spend their time and money they don't have on nothing more than a hobby," you say? Why does that sound familiar??

Those vidja games ain't gonna play themselves.

The only thing I know about Korra is that apparently there's half-assed gay "representation" in it, and I only know that because of how much Andrew Dobson spergs about it.

Y'know all this Nick-o-Rama shit reminded me of something James Rolfe talked about a couple years ago about doing Monster Madness. He'd release a review a day for most years, but he'd spend months working on them so that he would get them out in time. It wasn't something he worked on all throughout October, no, it was something he would work on prior to that month in addition to all the other stuff he would put out so that he could deliver Monster Madness on time.

In short, James had a game plan with how to tackle something as tremendous as putting out 31 reviews in a month. Enter meanwhile vastly overestimated how difficult and time-consuming the process actually is in addition to his poor work ethic ensuring he'd never get it done.

Ah, so maybe this was the reason Korra got delayed. At least it's not vidya.

Interesting hot take in there: Enter says that pilots in general are an outdated concept that need to die because they never adequately reflect the quality of the show and are often the worst episodes anyway. First of all, the pilot is not supposed to be the best episode ever. It's just a demonstration of what the cartoonists are capable of doing, and if executives think that's good enough, then the show only improving from there is nothing but a good thing. Why make the complaint? Second of all, Enter makes the rookie mistake of assuming all "pilot" episodes are the first ones to air, which is blatantly wrong. Yes, the first episode of a show can just be the pilot, but more often, the show goes through so many changes in development that the pilot would stand out like a sore thumb. Sometimes, the pilot doesn't air at all. Other times, it airs innocuously in the middle of a season, long after first impressions are set. Or, what should been Enter's favorite choice, they completely remake the pilot so it matches with the rest of the show's aesthetic and lore. The pilot's only job is to sell to executives, and if it can also sell to a general audience, that's just a bonus.

Also, skip to 27:06 for the sickest of burns. "Oh, you guys think I'm crazy and can't finish anything? BAM! Animatic! Storyboards! Voice acting! Sound effects! And it only took me two years to make less than a minute of this! Now, donate to my new monthly Patreon so I can keep moving at this snail's pace with no repercussions." https://www.patreon.com/GrowingAround

wow it's incredible. Not one of those voices is good. No emotion. No character. Nothing. Clearly the first take, and done with no direction. Robert's voice is probably the worst out of the bunch though.

Granted, when I try to come up with a voice for a character, it helps a whole lot if I know something about their personality... Something that the GA cast can't provide.

I like how one of the things Enter complained about in cartoons was "How cartoons say how your life has ended when your not a kid anymore" is a bad message (it is), but Growing Around's society is literally built around adults becoming slaves to children once they are not kids anymore.

EDIT: Enter complains how the criticism about the unfortunate implications of the series are dumb and says that his cartoon is a reflection about reality in regards to adults being treated like trash as they got older to how younger people replace you in your job as you get older. Despite the fact adults are treated like second class citizens.

tl;dw just in case you don't want to listen to Enter's voice for nearly an hour but still want his opinions: He didn't like the first two seasons, especially season 1, thinking that it was a mix of great visuals but bad writing, but he liked seasons 3 and 4, but not as much as the first show.

didn't korra have crap visuals and then switched studios? Or was it vice versa?
EDIT: This for example.

If anyone missed good old fashioned Enter rage this video is great. He spends like half the video ranting about how stupid everyone is for not being able to "get" how brilliant his vision and premise for GA is.
Exactly, he also bragged how his show is a deconstruction of kids shows and says the show could teach realistic lessons compared to other cartoons.
