Funny how Monica and Jamie all cried wolf about harassment, yet had no qualms about Vic and his fans being harassed and doxed constantly. Of course, small con lines and $200+K in law fees are a price to pay for being assholes on Twitter and for trying to drive Vic into poverty.

That's the fascinating thing about Vic.
I came into this not knowing who he was, or even caring that much about funimation voice actors.
Not due to any major weeb need for subs over dubs, but just not caring about that aspect of things.
And due to this shitstorm I have seen how scummy many of his coworkers are, and just how naïve and shit Vic was. I've known a few people who are extreme optimists and are very puppylike as a whole.
So while I try to maintain neutrality its hard not to root for the guy in the face of his opposition.
While I have yet to mail candybars to @EriMin I would send one to Vic easily.

Let me at least say something about all of this. It isn't wrong to judge someone at their worst but to let it represent their character may be a bit too much. We all are judging these people as terrible simply because they hate someone we have all grown fond of. I mean we can certainly say none of these defendants are good people as they attack and lash out on so many, but I suppose refraining from stating how awful they are may be needed. None of us really know them. Except Sabat who easily is the worst scumbag of them all.
Though Ty really is right that Schemmel is the most tragic character here of all. While he is basically a dog that will knaw your leg off if you step in his yard, we basically are watching him being kicked around by the people he calls his friends. Sabat absolutely hates Schemmel screwing around with him doing some gaslighting. Can't imagine Rial and Marchi like him either. Probably thought it was funny when Sabat messes with him.

Now I see talk about Vic and that facebook post. It is sad but being honest, things could have been so much worse. People talk of healing the community but the thing that ironically has healed it the most was the lawsuit. Before that, there was no stopping anyone in their tracks and this thing was a wildfire setting everything to flames. None of these people would have stopped and those that fought with Vic would have been pushed out. Even the farms would be nothing more but for laughs. Maybe lose steam very quickly. The point is this mess wouldn't lose traction going in who knows what direction likely many people losing jobs and people just not wanting to deal with any of this permanently jumping ship. Likely many waves of fans giving up and going to dubs not to see the drama and not opening their wallets anymore. But we had a two sided fight which the SJWs surprisingly have less steam or stamina with most of them having jumped ship at this point.
We are in a lull period. It is an interesting point as this has to be taking a huge toll on everyone in the lawsuit and every minute it must bother them or are thinking about it. Especially the VA defendants. Might be a ride or die situation for them. We may see news pop up unexpectedly because of that.

Anyway, does anybody remember when Vic murdered 14 prostitutes at a con while handing out t-shirts said "Vic murdered 15 prostitutes tonight"? My uncle works at Nintendo and called the cops on him. They were pissed he wouldn't tell them where the 15th body was buried. They left without doing anything, glad to see murders are a joke to them.

Not to say you're wrong, but there is a fine line between intent to kill and plot, and shatenfrude. I am also not without doubt that the courts would love to police thoughtcrime, but a good lawyer could tear that defense in a split second.
