I love that whomever made that graphic image, completely snipped all context away. Like people really think reviewers are given the game this score even though it's not a good game.

I'll also echo my earlier comment: I hated the gameplay in Sekiro and was often NOT having "fun." It was still a good game and will deservedly be on many end of the year lists much like Death Stranding will.

You can legit just go look at the reviews yourself. They give it 100 rating and then you go to the review on the EGM website that has this at the end "What I do know is that Death Stranding isn’t perfect. It isn’t without flaws, and rough edges, and missed opportunities, and ideas that didn’t always land as well as they could have. It isn’t a game that everyone will love, or maybe even like, or maybe even be able to tolerate. It also isn’t the next coming of a video game savior, sent down from the heavens by its creator to change digital entertainment forever. ". Just saying that it's pretty clear from reading them that there is a legit score bump and it's to be expected because Kojima is a master at buttering up reviewers by giving them all great access and giving them retweets and such for their reviews.

Madden 20 is the only good game. Everything else is a fucking fraud and hack game.

If it takes the average player 50 hours to beat, I could only imagine how long it'd take for Phil to beat it. First 1000 part playthrough?

Forget where I saw this, maybe @drgnkiller twitter? His plan for The Outer Worlds was to stretch it into a year long playthrough. This was before the length of the game was known.

There are a lot of factors, but if he doesn't bored/rage/wage quit, it quickly gets moved to 2nd stream, and he only touches it once or twice a week, it might not be a year but it'll take quite a long time until Phil hits Death Standings credits.

After looking over a bit of the game and reading about it(staying away from reviews), this playthrough will absolutely suck. He will talk over cutscenes, make fun of Kojima, tons of dead air going trekking, and say "What, none of this makes any sense ehuhuh." all through it.

yeah from what I have read, if you main line the story line it’s about 30 ish hours. Granted this info is from game journalists so could be shorter if DSP really hits the after burners and beats it faster.

I looked at those reviews. They cut a lot of the content. Games that score high are not perfect and people need to get over that; this conspiracy theory that reviewers are score-bumping because Kojima is about as silly as any of Phil's "reviewers are all shills" comments. I mean in that EGM review the very next paragraphs tell you exactly WHY she scored the game the way she did.

In unrelated news I'm not looking forward to his Death Stranding playthrough, and in further unrelated news every time he mentions he's going to do a full playthrough of Morrowind it sounds like a threat to me since that is one of my favorite games.

That's why I haven't watched any of his The Outer Worlds LP.
I really love this new IP Obsidian gave us and hope we see a few sequels until it does a Borderlands 3.

I just read an article saying the last cutscene of Death Stranding is 2 hours. Can you imagine actually watching Phil sit through it? Shit jokes and goat laughs to begin with, quickly giving way to complaining about how "I'm just NOT HAVING FUN!" before falling into near-silence and literally falling asleep.

See, if he was smart, he would just kick back, turn on Superchats watch that 2 hour cutscene while pounding his way through donations and talking to chat. It's easy money. Don't have to play the game, just sit back and half heartedly watch while interacting with chat.

Of course, dumbass won't do that, he will probably quit out the second someone tells him "it's two hours bro" and go "I'm done, what a stupid game, thanks Kojima".

Never forget that Phil ranked #1 North American cut scene watcher for 2017

I can imagine Phil trying to hype up his longstanding feud with Kojima to squeeze a few extra bucks out of this playthrough. Any rage will be faked just to play up that angle, and most of the game will be spent with him sitting dead silent. If he even makes it to the end cutscenes and doesn't close out the game immediately, there's a 100% chance he falls asleep.

Been watching someone stream it on Twitch early and this game is going to be the stream of a lifetime honestly for DSP. The amount of backtracking you have to do is going to trigger him so badly. I hope he doesn't quit the game super fast I want to see him at least get the bike which is like multiple hours in.

Probably the most interested in a DSP stream I've been ever.
