I like to spend a whole lot of time on this website titled "YouTube Channel Crawler"

I put in random criteria and just browse. It's what I do in my past time now that most video games are crap these days. I've spent quite enough time to notice this there's quite the community backed by the term "gacha".

Gacha seems to be short for "Gacha Life"

It's kind of like Neo-pets except with no human encounters to put it short.

Except there's also a cinematic mode which has made some... quality shit if I'm to be sarcastic. There's only a slight problem a lot of these channels... most are under the age of YouTube's terms of service.

12. Ability to Accept Terms of Service
You affirm that you are either more than 18 years of age, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in these Terms of Service, and to abide by and comply with these Terms of Service. In any case, you affirm that you are over the age of 13, as the Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the Service. There are lots of other great web sites for you. Talk to your parents about what sites are appropriate for you.

In my observations of most of these channels that use the name "gacha" in their titles tend to be 12 year olds wanting to get big. I've seen them get as young as 10, though a majority I have seen are 12 just to clarify. I have mixed feelings on this since they are close to being of age to be on YouTube. On one hand I'm worried since they are young and they may end up being exploited. On the other hand they are on the internet and they'll learn the harsh realities of what being on the internet is like at a young age.

and who the hell gave these kids smart phones? I didn't get a smart phone until I was 21 the bastards!
this gacha shit has been croping up for a while. most of these videos are EXTREMELY SEXUAL (rape, incest, pedophillia, domestic abuse etc). a lot of those channels make millions of views and this shit is legitimately disturbing on many levels. its similar to elsagate. this honestly deserves a thread since some autistic kid made a video about some content creator making NSFW shit and got shit tons of hate on him from the content creator herself

here are some examples of the fucking godawful cringe shit I could find

I aspire to have balls as big as that hot piece of underaged autism. She's just going to do a domestic abuse story about beating him up.

I initially over-looked the sexual stuff that was appearing in the recommended feeds after skimming through some of those other channels in the Crawler results. I thought it was just a few odd balls in a grander community as I was just coming across age ranges of 12-14 consistently. This is the kind of quality story-telling that leads to shipping fandoms.

this honestly deserves a thread
Maybe. I'm not sure it's a big enough deal though.

eh it is still concerning on the sexual shit. akthough people in this range become angsty hormonal teens, due to the anonymity of the "inter webs" it might be some pedos trying to indoctrinate children in some sort of pizza gate Epstein shit. and in all honesty the way the videos are edited and the stories are fucking horrendous (not to include the epileptic inducing colours that give you migraines after a while).

and with the whole autistic kid making a rant video, this is closely related to the r/gachalifecringe (that lurked on since it very inception). theres some dramas around it but it was these guys that really got the autistic kids channel going

Would that dude happen to go by the name of Guptill89?
I don't exactly remember the guy's name. I'll have to double check my block-list, since I encountered him after I made a comment voicing my disapproval of some of 4Kids habits (cutting plot for Jokes was the specific thing I had an issue with), and he jumped all over me for daring to have an opinion he didn't like.

So Pyrocynical is running around looking like a homo on other people's channels, and supposedly has confirmed his enjoyment of crossdressing. Okay, cool, whatever.

I'd hit it

There's a trashfire of a channel break-up going on with a comedy troupe known as The Valleyfolk. I'm not the most familiar with the group of people involved but over the past couple days this has gotten so ridiculously fucking messy and loud that it's starting to echo across drama circles that really shouldn't even be caring.

Everyone involved seems to have already survived equally messy and confusing channel meltdowns, having been born out of Phillip DeFranco's abortion, SourceFed, and some of the troupe working with Smosh in various capacities.

I'm unclear on the exact timeline but it seems like they've all been friends for a significant number of years and already dealt with the kind of life shit that usually tests adult friendships, so their channel imploding and this current mess of conflicting announcement videos, Twitter drama, friends picking sides, and weepy Patreon videos is just fucking bizarre.

In the not too distant past of September, The Valleyfolk won the first season of NBC's "Bring the Funny", taking home a pot of $250,000.

A day and some hours ago in early November, the official channel posted an announcement video stating Lee was "moving off in her own creative direction." This would have been fine, it all sounded more or less mutual, except then Lee posted her side of the story, claiming that six days after winning the money the other three voted to terminate her employment.

Well, the fans have gotten pissed.

Everyone even remotely involved (and quite a few people who aren't) are vaguetweeting.

Tweets from the immediate parties are being posted in the heat of the moment and deleted.

Like this is only a 300k sub channel. I have no idea why this clusterfuck is spreading like this but it may as well be mentioned here in case the shit-flinging picks up in earnest. Between the legal red tape the three guys keep falling back on, the weird timeline and money at stake, and the messy as fuck orbiters who claim to have insider knowledge it looks like someone will start chimping.

Obligatory Reddit sucks but the sub is currently full of salty hot takes and absolute tinhat theories about what went down.

I've seen those videos pop up and the games but I don't fully understand it. it seems to be that there is two different "Gacha" that people refer to...

"Gacha" in general seems to be a catch all term for anime-inspired/Japanese games that deal with "collecting" different things like heroes for a game or pets. And someone likened it to loot boxes. When I tried learning more about it I was shown a list of mobile games that wouldn't look like they'd "inspire" the rampant thread worthy bs that comes from that community. In fact they seem like any other generic anime/RPG micro-transaction mobile game..

The one that seems to cause a lot of weird shit is the "Gacha Life/Gachaverse/Gacha Studio" whatever made by "Lunime". It seems akin to another game called "Moviestar Planet". A game filled with tweens/teenagers where you can chat, level up, create and dress up an avatar and play mini games to earn in game currency for clothes, furniture and other stuff. And just like Moviestar Planet you can make "movies" which is basically just using a background and taking the characters and adding text bubbles to them.

I don't know why this community inspires so much poorly edited lolcows/thread worthy videos.

When I was younger one game that was "all the rage" to edit was Maple Story and "Maplestory Music Videos". Sure you'll a lot badly edited ones but there was a quite of them that were pretty well edited. And while some "stories" dealt with "abuse and other angsty topics" I don't remember them being filled with rape/incest and other vulgar stuff. I also don't think I've ever seen one of those Gacha Life videos that was actually edited well yet they get hundreds of thousands to millions of views.

This guy did a video on Gachaverse youtube (he also has videos chronicling the autism of the sonic fandom more specifically the shipping side). The scariest part is that there's quite a bit of crossover between Gachaverse and the sonic fandom.

This was(is currently) #1 on trending.

Imagine crying over a game that you got banned in because you fucking cheated the system. This is absolutely pathetic. He starts crying at like the 2-minute mark. Although he's crying because now he doesn't have a financial outlet to reap the children watching him play the game he has spent so many hours playing for the financial gain. So, lol.

The comments are all of them ragging on him for aimbotting. That's absolutely hilarious. Looks like he'll just have to start playing Apex, the soy of battle royals. Should feel like home for him.

This was the stupidest video I have ever watched, ‘I was aimbotting for entertainment for you guys!’ Like how is that entertaining, you are a fraud who fakes his skill. Also you have over 2m subscribers there are a ton of other games to play, does this dude just lack creativity or what?

Anyways the comments are 10/10. It should be obvious, don’t cheat unless you can accept the consequences.

He’s 17 maybe I should cut him some slack but god damn man..

Also, there were these two guys named Kowloon and Omegatrion (or something like that) who spammed by videos with hundreds of comments saying things like "Oxhorn is right" and they posted links to storm front (a white supremacist site) and they said these links proved Oxhorn is right about his anti-gay views and such.
Yo whats up pussy
