I don't know if you seen these movies, but he gave a great performance in Good Time and High Life, and while I haven't seen it yet, apparently he did alright in The Lost City of Z. He has the talent, he may just pull it off.

Pattinson is a classic underdog story--a genuinely talented actor whose career was marred by bottom-barrel dogshit. I'm rooting for him and I hope gigs like this are enough to get him out of the shadow of Edward Goddamn Cullen.
