Homosexuality & Transsexuality has always been considered a paraphilia, and was only taken off the list because of public outcry, not because new scientific breakthroughs. Treating those "orientations" and "identities" as paraphilias actually makes a lot of sense. Men are way more predisposed to paraphilias than women, and paraphilias often tend to cluster together with more paraphilias & mental illnesses. As in, if someone is into getting shat on, it's more likely they're also into different fucked up stuff, like blood play or fucking animals. Mix homosexuality in there, and the picture becomes clearer - no wonder homosexuals are per capita 10x overrepresented in child rape cases.

It's actually not easy typing this down, since I feel no dislike or hatred for people because of their sexual orientation, I know how hard it sucks to be "othered", and I want them all to be happy. But we can't warp our perceptions of objective reality for appeasement.

As for the political agenda pushing, that was to be expected - it is never and will never be enough, just like how in capitalism it's not enough to simply make profit but you need growth, progressivism needs constant progress. Still didn't see it coming and have a hard time coping with the fact boomers were right with their slippery slope. It's telling that when I see FTM usually just act like cringy fuckboy frat bros, it's the MTF that say the insane shit that really is just a fetish that's being reinforced by SOCIETY. FTM is incredibly rare compared to MTF. It makes sense treating it as autogynephilia, especially with so many MTF trannies saying "my urge to transition/my "dysphoria" goes away right after I masturbate". Currently in the progress of losing a friend to exactly this, and I just know, had he spent less time on the internet, things might've been better.
It also explains the many obsessions with getting the public to do/accept this or that - the public is needed to fulfil the fetish completely, not even necessarily in an exhibitionistic way, but it's there. There are a few trans critical reddit subs that I've started to frequent for my daily cringe supplements, r/itsafetish and r/detrans. The former is filled with radfems who are just looking at all the fucked up shit that MtF say and do on reddit, the latter is a place for trannies to get help to detransition from others that have. r/detrans is absolutely filled with FtM girls who are in their late teens/early twenties and from reading their accounts on WHY they chose to go through with a "transition" to becoming male, it seems like normal issues for growing girls are now being conflated with being trans by the medical establishment, liberal parents, therapists, support groups. They dont write about their post nut clarity that a lot of MtF trannies get and then post about on r/trans to get validation to keep living their fetish fantasy. There's really no focus on the girls that live deal with this, from the radfems (as far as I can tell) and from the actual trannie spaces, which all seem to cater to the MtF needs.

Believe or not, I knew somebody who was transitioning, or at least tried to. After a while, I walked in an conversation with other people basically telling him he really doesn't pass and that it's annoying--and not in a cruel way, but in a "serious talk" kind of way.

He actually decided to stop transitioning and leads a pretty good life now. Completed his education, got a career, and is getting married, the works. I know it's anecdotal, but sometimes you just need to say something. I'm not saying it will work, or that it even applies to your situation, but it's strange how things can work out.
