That explains why last time I went to a Starbucks it was populated with employees who looked like they wanted to educate us all about the gender binary.
If I had stock in Starbucks I'd be selling. There's no way it's good business to have such an unequal benefit to other employers that you get a disproportionate number of employees who soak your insurers for $50-100k as soon as they've been in their $15/hour, 20 hour a week barista position for 6 months. If they're having surgery on the company dime after having only earned $15k or so, they're quadrupling (or more) their overall cost to the company. And then telling all their friends to do the same.
That's before we get into the fact that normal people don't like being around self-mutilators with extremely strong feelings about specific types of words. I'd rather go to the coffee shop down the street where at least if they're overcharging me, it's going to line the pockets of the local entrepreneur, not dickchops for porn addicts and self-loathing gays.
