I actually really liked Harley's personality and character, at least before the DC reboot where they made her into slutty Deadpool. I liked that she was friendly and personable, but could turn deadly at any second if set off. Her dynamics with both Joker and Ivy would cause her personality to flip between being sadistic and childlike. I feel like losing Arleen Sorkin as her helm really caused the most damage. Arleen brought a sweetness and Lucille Ball flair to the role, making Harley's comedic delivery land while also not pushing her cloying fawning over the Joker into irritating territory. Tara Strong's Harley is absolutely horrendous.

Harley was one of the best parts of BTAS and I've enjoyed her in other stories but I seriously doubt she will ever be Joker or Two-Face level. They have so many good stories under their belt and reinvented so many times that their archetype is just classic, whereas every time they've tried to reinvent Harley it just hasn't worked out. I genuinely hope that a writer finds a good way to separate Harley from the Joker in the future, maybe they'll find a good director for a truly standalone DC Black film about her. Otherwise, just go back to her being obsessed with Joker.

When I saw the film there was a police officer waiting outside of the theater room. It was the third too, the day before the film officially came out. Only a few NEETs like myself in the room, like seven people combined. One of the fat NEETs said hello to the officer in a smarmy was as we were leaving. I laughed.

In other news, I'm seeing it again this Sunday because DEAR LORD the soundtrack is amazing. I wonder if there will be police presence again. It's a high chance. At this point do we even need police there? They probably think that as soon as the police leave someone will do a shooting.

Jared Leto is also said to be in a upcoming Gotham City Sirens film and a film that focuses on Joker and Harley. Obviously all of this could be up in the air with how BOP performs.

This movie is obviously about how an almost ordinary man becomes joker by some reason,and the title of the movie proves it.

He didn't corrupted him as much as he killed his girlfriend and destroyed his life and body. Batman still managed to cover it all up to save the people from finding out. The target were always the people, not Batman. I wouldn't say Batman won either, but he rather neutralized the Joker's attempts to make them lose hope (I don't know what happens in the next movie because I haven't watched it).

I felt like TDK was a Batman victory, and the result greatly enhanced Batman's character for me. Sure, the Joker corrupted Dent and was able to make Gotham fray at the ends, but Batman still defeated him where it counted. He showed that the people of Gotham would not collapse into anarchy under mounting pressure, which forced Joker to reveal his ace that Harvey's turn would push them over the edge. To that end, Batman made no small sacrifice in taking the blame for everything that had transpired, and ultimately defeated the Joker's ideology over the course of that film. Ledger Joker's whole crux to his ideology was Machiavellian - that people were inherently evil and would choose to commit bad things when given the option to do so, and Batman defeated that notion convincingly in my book.

I don't hate Leto's Joker, but it is easily the weakest of the lot and had the least amount of characterisation. The deleted scenes helped improve his performance, but his version seemed like it was an inspired copycat rather than the origin. He would have made more sense in a Batman Beyond setting, but Warner Bros. wasn't going to convince anyone that this was the guy who beat Jason Todd to death with a crowbar and had proven to be Batffleck's longtime nemesis. He just seemed too much like an actual gangbanger and had little of the presence that Joker has traditionally held in the past.

John diMaggio also did a pretty good Joker one time and I never see it mentioned.
