People with restrictive eating disorders tend to watch mukbang videos to eat by procuration. Amberlynn being indeed, very fat and eating, indeed, a lot of greasy and gross fucking food on camera, her videos tend to enable most of the anorexic's communities.

I'm just not sure how this is supposed to proceed other than devolving into people powerleveling about their own EDs....

Edit Yup haven’t checked in with the skellies and wannabe skellies in a while. Not surprised they haven’t changed it

For these screens i just typed "amberlynn reid anorexia" and scrolled down the results , although all the active ED communities are myproana.com, ED related subreddit like r/EatingDisorderss, r/EDanonymous, or r/eating_disorders.
Most communities weight loss related tend to circlejerk alot around those kind of personnalities (i.e Eugenia Cooney and others)
 
@Tinytiny no gorl, plear don't delete anything. that was just my opinion. if your thread gets locked by staff you'll know it was a problem otherwise it's no big deal. I just don't know what to do with this tbh. Like it might be fun to make fun of these people but I dunno it's also sad especially because you know most of them are probably tweens.
 
I'm not sure this needs to be a thread either, but Amber's content has been so fucking dry it really doesn't matter right now.
I do think her self-image as a poor anorexic gorl who's not eating enough is hilarious, especially since ED sufferers are not at all concerned with if not proud of their low intake. The fact that she wants to have one stump in the oppressed fat people community and the other in the woe is me skinny community just tickles me every time I think about it.

Makes sense. Isn't this why Instagram (I think) added that little warning pop-up if you search for Amber's name there? Like it's becoming well known that she's, um.... motivating.
 
Might as well post this here if this thread continues. It's not just AL or restrictive EDs. Bulimics film themselves binging and watching her videos/reactions during the binge, too:
There's another Asian chick but I can't remember her username. There's another chick: Melissa Bug, but she has BED allegedly (but got WLS).

It's always a playlist of her videos and Haydur videos.

All these videos pop up in the Recommended section next to AL/the main reaction channels. There's a reason AL is a detriment to YT--and this side of it is dark and uncomfortable to watch. So much attention is placed on her hurting herself that these people who justify hurting themselves because of her are always overlooked. And with her spouting on about her self-diagnosed eAtInG dIsOrDeR, and most likely tagging her videos accordingly, it's no wonder all these people have found each other.
 
Pro-anorexia forums are full of extremely exceptional idividuals. They also love those "WATCH ME EAT 10,000 CALORIES!!!" videos too, I still remember years ago on /b/ people would post screencaps of them calling girls fat in the "rate my body" threads.
 
I guess I don’t understand these girls anymore than I understand Amber and her fellow cows. I mean, why do you have to be afraid you’ll get fat? If a person doesn’t want to get fat, they won’t. Just like if Amber wanted to lose weight, she could.

I guess this is why fatties fascinate me so much-the compulsion to eat so much and so constantly seems very strange. But I haven’t paid any attention to any anorexics but Ashley, so I don’t know much about the other side of the coin. I thought they were obsessed with getting deathskinny and thought it looked good, and also were super into control and testing themselves. I didn’t realize they were actually afraid of getting fat and actually thought they could get to 600 lbs.

I guess it is the same coin: compulsion. One won’t control it and the other over controls it.

Maybe this is best as a community post but IDGAF. It is interesting that they watch Amber like this.

I hope they don’t watch Chantel, she’d put even a starving dog off food.

This is like asking why a paranoid schizophrenic believes there's a tiny demon living in their left testicle. They are fucking crazy; their brains are broken. Anorexia is also extremely rare, and it is the most lethal mental illness, with risk of death being four times that of someone suffering from clinical depression. Aside from the damage done to the body, one in five commit suicide, on average. There is no comparison between anorexics and common gluttonous deathfats like Amberlynn and Chantal.

Of course, as several people already mentioned, a lot of the gorls on these "proana" sites don't have True and Honest eating disorders. We have no way of knowing. The concept of a bunch of fatties LARPing as anorexics sounds like lolcow gold, but the secretive nature of these communities makes them pretty dry in terms of mi.lk
 
I've known people with eating disorders that can get a "high" off of watching other people carrying out the same self destructive behavior they are inclined towards by their disorder such as overeating or pica, as a substitute for themselves carrying it out themselves and I've often wondered if that was the case for some ex-binge eaters that might watch Amber, but she's so toxic I would imagine she would turn a sizable number of such a niche audience off.

I think you're right about it being the other side of the compulsion coin. The core problem is very similar--deathfats need the dopamine high from binging, and deathskinnies need the dopamine from restricting (that's not to say deathfats never unreasonably restrict or vice versa).

But why does one garner so much more sympathy from refusing to eat than one who refuses to stop eating?

Not at all playing to Victimlynn here, she gets treated like an inhuman cow because she is an inhuman cow. It's just weird that in the public eye, skellies are at least seen as less of a nuisance than fatties. I guess because they literally take up less space? A deathfat out in public is literally like having an elephant in the room after it just took a massive shit, whereas you can only ever speculate if some skin and bones bitch is actually anorexic or is just having health problems. And when's the last time you saw an anorexic throwing an SJW temper tantrum because they were triggered by receiving a regular coke instead of diet? If that happened the other way around to a fatty you know it would go right under the #fatshaming tag immediately.

This is spiraling way off topic so I'm gonna bring it back to our cow, this is why if she's going to leech off of a self-detrimental community, she belongs in the oppressed fatty group. Appearance aside, that's just her mentality. She's not the type to stay quiet and wait to have a moment alone before going into a panic attack because she had to eat a homecooked meal where she didn't know the exact amount of calories. She's the type to not only expose herself as an utterly r.etarded cunt, but to then whine and cry when people call her a r.etarded cunt. She's not a victim at all, whether it be her supposed rape or her supposed eating disorder aka that one time she threw up after overeating, or her 100% brought upon boollying...But now yet again, she's on social media crying because she gets "stho much hate you guize".

Short answer is human brains are weird. Amber is fat by choice.

Being afraid of being fat is okay, it only becomes an issue once it's a harmful and debilitating fear. One of the reasons anorexics don't get as much shit from the public is because their issue is something that has gotten out of their own control. They can't just eat again, after the extreme restrictions their bodies go through, eating like a normal person would kill them. That's why you don't feed a starving child a bunch of hamburgers - they'd die. It's all mental, that's why a lot of them end up committing suicide even after getting treatment. Their minds just never recover. Most of their bodies don't recover either - stomach acid is strong as shit.

Amber can literally stop. Anytime. But she won't. Amber's issue isn't fear. It's the endorphins she gets from eating. Eating is close to orgasmic, it feels good, it tastes good and to top it all off, it brings her attention and money which is good.
