On another note, the videos appear to have just gone unavailable. Like, in the last couple minutes. I clicked on the first one, then the second, then the first again and it was gone.
"When you report on your findings publicly, you take an active risk that the owner of said media findings will delete the material behind those links, rendering them inert and worthless. Fortunately, you have a variety of resources that allow you to preserve evidence of material that could otherwise actually be wiped away from conventionally accessible memory.
Take
@Nontransferable, for instance. He discussed his findings about an incident wherein a man allegedly made young girls uncomfortable-- in reality, it was an auction and highest bidder got a smooch on the cheek from the man himself. For reasons unknown, however, after posting the summary of his findings, with embeds to the videos,
the videos were taken down. Potentially, these are the only videos that exist concerning the event that are presently online.
However,
@Nontransferable is thorough and careful, always thinking ahead-- rather than merely rely on Youtube embeds to show off his findings, he went the needed mile and downloaded the videos, attaching the files themselves in his post. Now, in the far off distant future, when others read this thread, and see dead embeds, they'll still be able to watch the videos being referenced.
Be like
@Nontransferable, and
Archive Fucking Everything."
