Being Gen X is fucking weird right now

I actually really like boomers and gen z because they're silly, but some millennials are kind of annoying because they don't have their priorities straight.
 
What if you're a self-hating millennial? What if you think avocado toast is more faggy than Richard Simmons? What if you're one of the oldest millennials who has more in common with gen X? Can you be in the cool kids' club then?

Am I missing anything? Uhh..
Boomers are absolute scum and all hail the glorious zoomers! Did I get it right?
 
The idea that there is a major difference between Millennials and Generation Z is something I haven't found a lot of hard evidence for. There is some research which seems to suggest that they are more hesitant and risk-averse than Millennials (something which makes sense, given the economic circumstances they were raised within), but a lot of conservative publications are using this to conclude that they are broadly more conservative compared to older generations, and I don't think this is something the data finds a lot of support for.

Pew Research data seems to indicate that Generation Z is about as liberal if not more so than Millennials. For instance: 59% of Gen Z respondents say that forms and online profiles should include gender options other than 'male' or 'female' (the figure is only about 50% among Millennials), 70% of Gen Z respondents believe that the government should do more to solve problems (the figure is only 64% among Millennials), 66% of Gen Z respondents believe that blacks are treated unfairly in America (the figure is 62% among Millennials).

Even among respondents who identity as conservative or Republican, the trend is similar: 43% of Gen Z Republicans believe that blacks are treated less fairly than whites (the figure is only 30% among Millennial Republicans), 52% of Gen Z Republicans believe that the government should do more to solve problems (compared with only 38% of Millennial Republicans).

People hoping for a significant swing to the right in the coming decades might not get what they wish for.

I'm an actual Zoomer and u miss the point, which is that Zoomers aren't SJW moralfags like Millennials.

I always found it weird that anyone born past 1960 could still be considered a "Boomer". Like Boomers got two decades (~1946-1965) but every other semi-generation only gets 15 years.

I exist on the line between being a Millenial and a Zoomer and I overwhelmingly identify with anything made in the 1950s and 1960s. It seems like the Greatest/Silent Generation dealt with all the fucked up shit they saw and dealt with between the Dust Bowl, Great Depression and WW2 by indulging in all of the finer aspects of life. The stuff they came up with radiates so much anxiety and depression that sometimes flipping on an old Twilight Zone episode is like watching reality tv footage of my own life. Its generally just so much more calm and thoughtful than even stuff made in the 80s. I like a good action movie full of stuff getting blown up and people getting gunned down just as much as the next guy, but that old-fashioned dialogue-driven way of talking things out has some kind of draw to it I can't completely describe.

It sounds like they're asking the wrong questions. Lots of people think black people are treated unfairly but disagree as to why, and the SJW position is it's because white people are 100% fucking evil monsters full stop.

It might be statistically bullshit, but the positions associated with millennials are authoritarian left, not "liberal" or even "progressive." It's not even benign authoritarianism, but the kind of vicious authoritarianism usually associated with outright fascism.
