Dmitriy Andreychenko is accused of bringing more than 100 rounds of ammunition, a rifle, a handgun and body armor to a Missouri Walmart. The incident occurred on August 8 in the city of Springfield.

Speaking to the media, Lieutenant Lucas said that Andreychenko, 20, is “lucky he’s still alive.” Lucas added that Andreychenko surrendered shortly after he arrived at the Walmart after he was confronted by a former firefighter. No shots were fired during the incident.

If you youtube Constitutional Audit, there's thousands of videos of cop hating idiots who walk into police stations with cameras and act vague as fuck as to why they're there, of course making the police suspicious.

Actually the "NKO" ending is indicitive of a Ukrainian surname. And while plenty of Russians have Ukrainian surnames I'm pretty sure this dude is Ukrainian given that he spells his first name as Dmitriy which is in line with the Ukrainian pronunciation. A Russian would have just gone with Dmitry without the second 'I'.

The Ukrainian equivalent of Dmitriy is "Dmitro". I know both languages.
The Ukrainian surname would also be "Andriychenko" instead of the Russian "Andreychenko".
And I heard them talking Russian in the first video I linked (I know many Ukrainians speak Russian, but still).

These guys who walk around public places geared up like Rambo to bait cops are dumb. I never saw the point of it, like they read something online so decided they need to "educate" the cops on their rights. How to find some cops to film? Guess we'll carry all of our guns and when some scared family with kids inevitably calls the cops, we can tell them how wrong they are for stopping us!

Open carry is generally exceptional and makes you look like a sperg. It used to not be a big deal and I'd stop at Walmart or somewhere to pick up targets or at a gas station to get a drink going to or from the range with a visible OWB holster. Then exceptional individuals started doing it to make political statements and it doesn't do any good. It's just edgelords edging.

It seems that people are increasingly open carrying more to be confrontational or in-your-face about their arms than trying to be informative of what's legal when it comes to open carry. Their stock, generic answer of "because we can" when asked why doesn't do much to appeal to the average citizen who has no idea of knowing if someone is innocently open carrying or secretly plotting to be the next mas shooter--especially when these so-called activists do so right after one such shooting. As other have already posted, it does little to promote 2nd Amendment rights. If they carried their weapons without making an obvious production of it, few people would know or care. Then again, they wouldn't give them the attention and shock value they're seeking, either.

Honestly a lot of folks who open carry are just too cheap/lazy to go through the state licensing requirements. They're just out to flex their 2nd Amendment muscle with a Yeet Cannon and an Uncle Mikes holster.

There's been gun spergs here who walk on the edge of school property, at holiday festivals, or even enter police station lobbies with their open-carried weapons and can't understand why people give them the suspicious stinkeye for their choice. Perhaps its because they only do their thing just after mass shootings or cop killings when most people are on high alert and skittish of anyone with guns out in the open in places known for having several people in a relatively confined area with few exits.

One would think the 2nd amendment advocates, if they truly were advocates, would conduct themselves in a manner that fostered assurance and promoted legal carrying and use of arms. Instead, they behave in a way to prompts concern and fear and convinces people that open carry is a bad idea based on the acts of an overzealous minority of gun owners.
