General Wrestling Discussion

And probably stay out of the business as a whole. Pro wrestling wrecks people who are overly sensitive just by the nature of it. On one hand, fans aren't chanting "FAGGOT" or "SHE'S A CRACK WHORE" anymore but you'll still get people jeering even mediocre performances or the subset of indie fans who are there to see you fuck something up. Even refs aren't immune to getting shit from the fans (ex. Todd Sinclair of ROH).

When I heard there was an incident involving LA Park at a show, I was expecting much worse than that given his rep but this is pretty tame. Should he have said something to the guy before the spot? Yeah, maybe, but it's LA fuckin' Park. The guy's a legend and made more money in this business than everyone else on the show combined. Just suck it up and take it.

I mean, it's not unheard of for indie promotions to just grab one of the wrestler's friends, put him in a referee's shirt, give him some vague instructions and have him go for it. Granted, I'd hope that a promotion capable of affording to book LA Park would be above such a thing, but I suppose it's possible.

Wow, the dirtsheet thread on /wooo/ got locked because of excessive sperging over Dave Meltzer. Considering how much that happened in the past without the dirtsheet thread being locked, it’s amusing to see this.

He's also a two time NWA worlds champion.

Crazy that he’s the 1st black person to win it and it’s hardly gets mentioned. I guess that’s the fact that he does comedy and the NWA-TNA partnership at the time is part of it.

Speaking of the 24/7 championship, I’m betting that someone pulls a Gerald Brisco and pins Maria while she’s sleeping, most likely Mike.

There's lots of Ron Killings neglect that's crazy.

What have they done to the Network? I can't sign in on my tv as it won't bring up a keyboard, the watchlist is gone, half the time I can't scroll across, and the continue watching feature is hidden and doesn't have the things I was halfway through watching.

Sounds like a usual product from lolwwe

Harley Race has passed away

One of those guys who may not have had an incredible body, but always came across as someone who was legitimately tough.

I think this would earn Simon Gotch (aka Simon Grimm) a Mad on the Internet rating here.
What did Meltzer even say to get him this triggered? "Gotch won't be remembered as anything other than that WWE wash-up who buried Enzo Amore on a shoot interview"? Not joking, I genuinely don't get where this came from

Meltzer runs a glorified gossip rag and people put way too much reverence on his star ratings. The twitter reaction to this is hilarious in the race to be the most offended by it. Cornette says shit like this on the daily and I'm supposed to be offended now?

Getting triggered by one critic enough to wish for the guy's death is a-loggy no matter how you slice it. I don't think even Bruce Prichard or Eric Bischoff went that far, and those guys are practically on an autistic crusade against him. I also checked for reactions on /wooo/ and r/squaredcircle. Both of those communities have had their spergouts over Meltzer, but neither of them were fans of Gotch's comment.

As for Cornette, he's practically wrestling's old man that yells at clouds at this point. No one can take away his knowledge of pro wrestling, I like listening to some of his classic rants every now and then, but he had some a-log moments too.
