This is just a recipe for disaster. It's rarely easy for someone to transition from not producing regular content to a strict schedule that they have to adhere to, and there's an added level of stress when you're reporting directly to your backers. I don't think Dobson understands what he's getting into with this Patreon business. People are giving him the excellent suggestion to prepare himself beforehand because otherwise it's going to be a short-lived endeavor, but of course he ignores it.
So, this is how it's going to go down: Dobs will set up Patreon, it will not magically change how often he produces content, his backers start asking for what they paid for, Dobs will "artistically" shut down and yell/whine at everyone who so much as looks at him wrong. None of it will be his fault, it's his backers' fault for causing him unneeded stress. Two months after the Patreon page goes up it's disbanded and Dobs makes an angry DA journal where he shifts all the blame onto whoever happens to be the easiest scapegoat.
This makes me wonder what kind of upbringing Dobson had as a kid.
